08-02-2015 Announcements

IN YOUR PRAYERS this week please remember Melton Langle (hospitalized in Parkston) and all others who are recovering from surgery and illness, those in cancer treatment programs, our shut-in and inactive members, and at least 2 family members or friends in your life who do not yet know Christ.
Main Street Living – Aug. 2nd – The featured speaker is Rev. Dwaine Doremus of St. John Lutheran Church in Wentworth, SD.  The program is interpreted for the hearing impaired.

MATTHEW RESNER will be ordained and installed at the dual parish of Immanuel Lutheran Church (Menno) and St. Paul Lutheran Church (Scotland) next Sunday, August 9th at 5:00.  Everyone is invited to attend the installation service.

BOE:  Thank you to everyone who helped to cleanup the VBS decorations, on Sunday, after the voters meeting.
LADIES AID will not meet in August.  On Altar Guild for August is Lee Lagendyk and Visiting Helper is Alice Fliginger.

QUARTERLY VOTERS’ MEETING NOTICEOur Summer voters’ meeting will be held today in the Fellowship Hall right after the worship service.

REV. NOUR’s RETIREMENT – After 21 years of faithful service in the Office of the Holy Ministry, Pastor Nabil Nour is retiring.  The congregation of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Armour cordially invites everyone to their open house reception for him and his wife (Jean) today from 2:00 until 4:00.

TRINITY LUTHERAN (HARTFORD) – Rev. Nabil Nour will serve as the full-time vacancy pastor at Trinity Lutheran in Hartford.  Rev. Yahr, Trinity’s current pastor, will be moving to Minnesota shortly.

REV. ANDERSON’s RETIREMENT – Pastor Hyle Anderson (St. Paul, Aberdeen) is retiring and has an open house reception scheduled for this afternoon from 2:00 until 4:00.

Main Street Living –July 19th – The featured speaker is Rev. Paul Pater of St. John Lutheran Church in Howard.  The program is interpreted for the hearing impaired.
 
THE LORD’S SUPPER at St. Paul Lutheran Church is administered in accordance with the Holy Scriptures and the Lutheran Confessions.  It is celebrated in the confidence that we receive – in, with and under the consecrated bread and wine – our Savior’s true Body and Blood for the forgiveness of our sins.  All who commune at this altar are making this public confession of the faith that we believe and teach as is written in the Holy Scriptures.  If you are not a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and yet desire to receive the Sacrament, please speak with the Pastor before the worship service.
