THE LORD’S SUPPER at St. Paul Lutheran Church is administered in accordance with the Holy Scriptures and the Lutheran Confessions.  It is celebrated in the confidence that we receive – in, with and under the consecrated bread and wine – our Savior’s true Body and Blood for the forgiveness of our sins.  All who commune at this altar are making this public confession of the faith that we believe and teach as is written in the Holy Scriptures.  If you are not a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and yet desire to receive the Sacrament, please speak with the Pastor before the worship service.

THE LORD’S SUPPER is celebrated at this congregation in the confession that, as our Lord says, He gives us not only bread and wine but His very Body and Blood to eat and drink for the forgiveness of our sins and to strengthen our union with Him and with one another.  Our Lord invites to His table all those who trust His words, repent of their sins and set aside any refusal to forgive and love others as He forgives and loves us.  Because those who eat and drink our Lord’s Body and Blood unworthily (that is, they do not recognize the bread and wine to also be His Body and Blood) do so to their great harm and because Holy Communion is a confession of the faith which is confessed at this altar, any who are not yet baptized, not instructed in the Christian faith, not a member of this church nor the LC-MS and yet desire to receive the Sacrament, are asked to speak with the Pastor before the worship service.

THANK YOU to all who helped to rake leaves last Sunday.  It was a great job well done and everyone’s help was greatly appreciated!!

LARGE-PRINT HYMNALS – We have available a few large-print hymnals for those of us who need some assistance because of eyesight difficulties.  If you or someone you know would prefer to use a large-print hymnal, please ask any usher for assistance.

PLEASE REMEMBER TO VOTE – Millions of believers did not vote in the last election.  Another important election comes up soon.  Here is a truth:  There are millions of voters who strongly oppose our Christian views and our Christian way of life.  The issues are vital and they are many.  Who would ever have imagined a few years ago that today we would be debating the definition of marriage or that this country alone has about 1.2 million abortions each year or that this country would be 16 trillion dollars in debt?  Know what the national, state and local candidates’ positions are on these and other issues that concern you.  Then remember to vote so that your voice will be heard and, please, encourage others to vote, too.  This country, our children and their children need us not to be silent but to take a stand for what we believe in.

BAZAAR – Thank you to everyone who donated, worked and supported us on our successful day!  Please check the kitchen for your containers.  (s) Bazaar Committee
