IN OUR DAILY PRAYERS this week please remember all who need our prayers, for family and friends who have wandered away from the church, for families in distress, for those in mourning or any other need. Please also say a prayer for our many members in cancer treatment, our shut-in and inactive members, and for at least two people in your life who do not know Christ.

BEFORE LEAVING the sanctuary, please find one person whom you don’t know or don’t know very well, introduce yourself and have a brief chat with them.

QUARTERLY VOTERS’ MEETING NOTICE – Our Spring voters’ meeting will be held today at 11:00 in the Fellowship Hall. For those of you who will be staying for the meeting (hopefully, all of you!), please immediately find a seat in the Fellowship Hall upon the conclusion of our worship service as we would like to begin as soon as possible. To help save some time, we will not have anyone go through the line to get coffee and refreshments; instead, these will be brought to your table. Thanks for your consideration!

MAIN STREET LIVING SUNDAY – Today we celebrate Main Street Living Sunday. Main Street Living is in its 11th year of proclaiming the Good News of Jesus Christ to the people of South Dakota and the surrounding area. The program is aired weekly on KDLT-NBC out of Sioux Falls and on KEVN-Fox out of Rapid City. Throughout the years this program has become the alternate method of worship for those who cannot regularly attend church. We thank God for this television ministry and we ask for your prayers for continuing success in the months and years to come. We also ask for your help with the financing of this mission work as it costs about $2,000 to air each weekly program. You may use the provided envelope and either send it directly to the MSL office or just place it in the offering today and it will be forwarded to MSL. Thank you very much for your prayers and your support!

LADIES AID will not have their May meeting. Ella and Elsie Hein are on Altar Guild for May and June Schamber is the Visiting Helper.

CREATION WORKSHOP – There will be a Creation Workshop this week on the topic of God’s creation of the universe as described in the Bible versus the world’s view that everything came into existence all by itself (i.e., without God) as described in the theory of evolution. Rev. Dan Domke (Mount Calvary, Huron) and Rev. George Sagissor (Our Redeemer, Sioux Falls) will be the discussion leaders. The seminar will be held Saturday, May 5th from 1:00 until 5:00 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 2200 S. Western Ave, Sioux Falls. There is no cost for this workshop nor will there be a free-will offering! Everyone is invited who is interested in the subject matter or would like to know how we can do a better job of speaking to the idea of evolution.
