8-1-2010 Announcements

“I HAVE GOOD NEWS FOR YOU” will be held after church service. Class will not be held next week.

PASTOR and Janet will be on vacation next Sunday, August 8th. Janet’s niece will be married this Saturday in Duluth, MN. Pastor John Farden will be leading the worship service next Sunday, if you need pastoral care, please call one of the Elders or Pastor Ellis or Pastor Farden.

MAIN STREET LIVING:

August 8, 2010 Kid's Crossing deals with worry. Simon learns that worry results in wasted time.
The featured speaker is Vicar Thomas Brown from Zion Lutheran Church in Mitchell, SD. The sermon theme is "What's it worth?" The hymns are My Hope is Built on Nothing Less; Have No Fear, Little Flock; and In The Cross of Christ I Glory. The Main Street Living Choir will provide the hymns. The program is interpreted for the hearing impaired.

7-25-2010 Announcements

QUARTERLY VOTER’S MEETING will be held after church service today.

SUNDAY SCHOOL will be held after church service today.

We would like to THANK everyone for helping, supporting, and or donating food or money for Vacation Bible School this year. Everyone was extremely generous. Big thanks to the teachers and leaders that helped make VBS a success for 36 children. We especially appreciate Pastor and Janet for camping out in Freeman this week to be a BIG part of VBS. Ask anyone that was there how awesome of a job Janet did with teaching the Bible stories! Sincerely the Education Board, Amber, Lisa & Kristi

MAIN STREET LIVING:
August 1, 2010 Kids Crossing is based on Luke 12:15. Janitor Bob talks about greed and how life is more than possessions.
The featured speaker is Rev. Glenn Schultz from Trinity Lutheran Church in Corona, SD and Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Wilmot, SD. The sermon theme is "Being Rich Toward God." The hymns are God of Grace and God of Glory; Son of God, Eternal Savior; and Oh, That the Lord would Guide. The Main Street Living Choir will provide the hymns. The program is interpreted for the hearing impaired.

7-18-2010 Announcements

I HAVE GOOD NEWS FOR YOU” will be after church service.

QUARTERLY VOTER’S MEETING will be held next Sunday after Church service.

THE CLEANING COMMITTEE AND TRUSTEES would like to thank all the volunteers who helped clean the parsonage Monday evening and for all of those who have helped with other small projects as well. Because of the large turnout we had, we were able to finish in one evening and for that we are very grateful. The parsonage looks very clean thanks to all of you!

SOUTHEAST SOUTH DAKOTA Lutherans for Life Members will meet Friday, July 23, 2010 at 7:30 p.m. The meeting will take place at St. Martin Lutheran Church in Alexandria.

VBS JULY 19th -23rd starting at 5:15-8:15 pm with supper provided each night. ANY child is welcome to attend but we will focus on ages 4 years old through those that were in the 6th grade.

Encourage children to come . . . family members, extended family, neighbors and friends for a great week of fun that is based on following JESUS!

Registration forms are available from the ushers or by the registration box in the Fellowship Hall. We asked that all forms are turned in by Saturday, JULY 10th. But the earlier the better.

Please take note to bulletin board where there is a list of supplies that we are asking your help with.

The hymns are Lord Jesus Christ, Be Present Now; Oh, That the Lord Would Guide My Way; and Praise God, From Whom All Blessings Flow. The Main Street Living Choir will provide the hymns. PARSONAGE CLEANING is tomorrow evening at 6:00 p.m. Sign up sheets are on the table in fellowship hall. Sign up for the area you would prefer to work in. Please bring the supplies listed for your area and label your supplies with your name. If we have enough help we could finish in one evening, if not we will choose another date to finish this project. Thank you.

CHURCH COUNCIL will be meeting Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m.

LWML will meet Thursday evening at 7:30 p.m. Topic will be led by Gerry and lunch will be served by Lee.
