02-26-2017 Announcements

IN YOUR PRAYERS - this week please remember those who are recovering from surgery and illness, those in cancer treatment programs, our shut-in and inactive members and at least 2 family members or friends in your life who do not yet know Christ.

MAIN STREET LIVING – March 5th:  No show schedule posted at this time. 

LADIES AID will meet on March 2nd at 7:00 p.m. with Sharon Pfeiffer as hostess.  We will continue our Bible Study with Pastor Weeman followed by the business meeting.  Mildred Siekmann is on Altar Guild for March and Julie and Orville Huber are Visiting Helpers.  Coffee Hour Committee for March 5th is Marlene Geidel, Corrine Handel and Cindy Hofer. 

ATTENTION DARTBALL PLAYERSTODAY  is the ZONE TOURNAMENT at Immanuel-Dimock starting at 3:00p.m.  If you want to car-pool, please be at St. Paul @ 2:00p.m.  See the bulletin board for more information. 
 
USHER LIST we need some people to sign up to usher as of now we do not have anyone for the new year.

THRIVENT no longer mails a yearly reminder to its members concerning their Thrivent Choice Dollars.  Please call 1-800-847-4836 before March 1st.  Unfortunately, this directive must be made each year or Thrivent decides which non-profit organization it chooses to send your money to.  We, the Thrivent Committee of St Paul's, are hoping that you will call and give our church those funds to benefit our causes and needs at home thank you.

We have posted the list of volunteers for Altar flowers and the volunteers willing to visit our shut-ins, on the bulletin board in the fellowship hall.  Please notice there is still an open month for visitations and also for Altar flowers, when it gets closer to those months; if you are able to help please sign the sheet. Thanks.

EASTER LILY PRE-ORDER – In celebration of Easter, lilies are available from The Vintage Vault.  They will be delivered to the church for Easter morning and you may take your Lily home after services. Please let Dawn know if you would like the name for whom the flowers are given in memory of.   6” Easter Lily (6+ blooms) $26.95, 8” Easter Lily (12+ blooms) $39.95.  Pre-Order deadline is March 12.  Please contact Dawn at 660-0264 or the store at 925-4200.

THE LORD’S SUPPER at St. Paul Lutheran Church is administered in accordance with the Holy Scriptures and the Lutheran Confessions.  It is celebrated in the confidence that we receive – in, with and under the consecrated bread and wine – our Savior’s true Body and Blood for the forgiveness of our sins.  All who commune at this altar are making this public confession of the faith that we believe and teach as is written in the Holy Scriptures.  If you are not a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and yet desire to receive the Sacrament, please speak with the Pastor before the worship service.

MAIN STREET LIVING – February 26th Today’s message is presented by Rev. Gary Klatt of St. John Lutheran Church in Luverne, MN. Matthew 17:1-9 is the basis for the sermon “The True Glory of Jesus”. The program is interpreted and closed captioned for the hearing impaired.

WELLSPRING WHOLISTIC COUNSELING announces a part-time job opening for its administrative  position. This position serves as secretary and treasurer for the Wellspring Board and includes the coordination of billing information among the counselor, billing agency, and Board as well as other administrative tasks. Interested individuals should contact Dr. Dennis Ries, Wellspring Board president, at 925-7788 for more information.
Wellspring is a church supported, non-profit counseling service located in Freeman and serving the surrounding community areas. The wholistic concept of Wellspring supports each individual's physical, emotional and social well-being by providing a supportive environment and empowering individuals and families to experience safe, productive and positive life changes.

VALENTINE’S STEAK SUPPER:  The Youth Group is putting on a Valentine's steak supper tonight.

02-05-2017 Announcements

IT IS OUR JOY to witness a miracle this morning as Jensyn May Fritz, infant daughter of Scott and Carly Fritz, is added to the family of God through the water and Word of Holy Baptism.  

NEWLY ELECTED OFFICERS for 2017, will be installed in office, prior to the Prayers of The Church, this morning.

MAIN STREET LIVING February 12th: The message this week “Was There Ever Really A Choice?” is presented by Rev. Aaron Asmus of Memorial Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls. The scriptural basis is Deuteronomy 30:15-20. The program is interpreted and closed captioned for the hearing impaired.

LWML will meet on Thursday February 9th at 2:00 p.m. at the church. Gerry will Host and Alice will lead Bible Study.
