05/26/2013 Announcements


 IN OUR DAILY PRAYERS this week we remember those who are hospitalized, those in cancer treatment programs, our shut-in and inactive members, and at least 2 family members or friends in your life who do not yet know Christ.

LADIES AID will meet on June 6 at 7:00 p..m. with Elsie and Ella Hein as hostesses. Bible Study will be Lesson 12 – “Why Do We Keep Fooling Around” followed by the Business Meeting. Millie Gunderson is on Altar Guild for June Mildred Siekmann is Visiting Helper and Coffee Hour Committee for June 2nd is Darlene Schrag, Mildred Siekmann and Susan Borglum.

SAVE THE DATE: It's long overdue but we are planning a fellowship Potluck to welcome and meet our new members on June 9th. What can be more pleasant than sharing a meal with our fellow church family. We will plan on starting at 11:00. Please plan on coming and helping host a meal with great food for our new friends. See you there!!! Thank You The St. Paul Samaritans

MAIN STREET LIVING – May 26th – Kid’s Crossing talks about what it means to be blessed and to receive blessings.  The featured speaker is Rev. Jerry Troesler from Zion Lutheran Church in Mitchell.  The program is interpreted for the hearing impaired.

YOUTH GROUP CAMPOUT will be held June 7 – 9th at Lake Menno.

IN YOUR DAILY PRAYERS this week please remember those who are recovering from surgery, those in cancer treatment programs, our shut-in and inactive members, and at least 2 family members or friends in your life who do not yet know Christ.

THE LORD’S SUPPER at St. Paul Lutheran Church is administered in accordance with the Holy Scriptures and the Lutheran Confessions.  It is celebrated in the confidence that we receive – in, with and under the consecrated bread and wine – our Savior’s true Body and Blood for the forgiveness of our sins.  All who commune at this altar are making this public confession of the faith that we believe and teach as is written in the Holy Scriptures.  If you are not a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and yet desire to receive the Sacrament, please speak with the Pastor before the worship service.

Main Street Living – May 19th – Kid’s Crossing looks at the tasks of a missionary.  The featured speaker is Rev. Ray Greenseth from Messiah Lutheran Church in Murdo, St. Paul Lutheran Church in Draper and Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Philip.  The program is interpreted for the hearing impaired.

TODAY IS SUNDAE SUNDAY : We invite the congregation to join us for fun activities and delicious ice cream right after service today!  The Board of Ed has a full schedule of activities planned.  We will be recognizing those that are so important to our Sunday School and Weekday/Confirmation program.  Attendance awards will be handed out as well as gather the participants for our Crazy Hat/Hair Sunday to take a photo and give prizes.  Hope to see you there!

PASTOR WILL BE ON VACATION next weekend.  Rev. Kenneth Greinke will lead next week’s worship service.

YOUTH GROUP MEETING Sunday May 5, everyone in youth please plan to attend.  We will be planning our camping trip in June.  Maria Starner is in charge of devotions and lunch.  See you there.

LWML will meet May 9th.at 2:00p.m. at the church. Pastor will lead the Bible Study and Gerry will provide lunch.

SENIOR SUNDAY

We welcome you to our Senior Sunday worship service today where our 2 high school graduates [Mitchell Kleinsasser and Stefanie Ruml] and 4 college graduates [Jeremy Albrecht, Trisha Langle, Karissa Podzimek and Sara Ruml] will receive a blessing from the church.  We pray that God will give them guidance and wisdom for the decisions about their life that they will be making in the years to come and that they will grow ever closer to Him in faith with their lives honoring the Name of Jesus Christ, our Lord.  Everyone is invited to stay for the reception after the service.

QUARTERLY VOTERS’ MEETING NOTICE – Our Spring voters’ meeting will be held today in the Fellowship Hall right after the worship service.

EVANGELISM WORKSHOP – Mount Calvary Lutheran Church in Huron will host an evangelism workshop on May 4th.  Please see the poster on the bulletin board for additional information.

APRIL 28TH WILL BE MIX &MATCH DAY for the SS students and teachers.  Once again we will take photos of those that wish to participate and winners will be selected.  Congratulations to: Alaric Knittel, Riley Knittel, Zac Sayler, Isabelle Sayler & Morgan Dannenbring who were last months winners.
