09-25-2016 Announcements

IN YOUR PRAYERS - this week please remember those who are recovering from surgery and illness, those in cancer treatment programs, our shut-in and inactive members and at least 2 family members or friends in your life who do not yet know Christ.
 
MAIN STREET LIVING – October 2: This week’s message is given by Rev. Warren Uecker of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Madison, SD. Based on Habakkkuk 2:4, the sermon is titled “Live by Faith”. The program is interpreted and closed captioned for the hearing impaired.

LADIES AID - will meet on Oct. 6th at 7:00 pm with Cindy Hofer as Hostess.  Bible Study on Angels will be led by Pastor Weeman followed by the business meeting.  Bob and Karen Pidde are on Altar Guild for October and Garnet Stern and Lee Lagendyk are Visiting Helpers for October.
 
THE BAZAAR COMMITTEE – has started making plans for the November 3rd event, which will run from 10:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Food donations are needed for chicken noodle soup, vegetable soup, chili soup, chicken sandwich meat, tavern, salads, pies, cake, pickles, crackers & coffee. We will also need workers for the day and evening shifts. We are planning on a Crafts/Stitchery & Baked/Canned booth and the Lunch Counter. Please see or call Sharon Pfeiffer (925-7604), Kelli Broders (925-7502), or Penny Smidt (925-4292) if you are willing to donate food or work.

NOTE TIME CHANGE:   The choir will begin rehearsals at 11:20.  All ages are welcome!

THE LORD’S SUPPER at St. Paul Lutheran Church is administered in accordance with the Holy Scriptures and the Lutheran Confessions.  It is celebrated in the confidence that we receive – in, with and under the consecrated bread and wine – our Savior’s true Body and Blood for the forgiveness of our sins.  All who commune at this altar are making this public confession of the faith that we believe and teach as is written in the Holy Scriptures.  If you are not a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and yet desire to receive the Sacrament, please speak with the Pastor before the worship service.

MAIN STREET LIVING – September 25th . Rev. Ryan Drevlow of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls, SD brings today’s message       “ Rich in What Matters Most”, based on Luke 16: 31. The hymns: Come Thou Almighty King; Fight the Good Fight; and All Hail the Pow’r of Jesus Name, will be sung by the Main Street Living Choir. The program is interpreted and closed captioned for the hearing impaired.

THE CHOIR - will begin rehearsals today at 11:30.  All ages are welcome!

MEN’S BIBLE STUDY - will not meet the last 2 Wednesdays of this month—Sept. 21 & 28. The class will resume on Wednesday—Oct. 5

THE 19TH ANNUAL BIKE FOR LIFE will be held on Saturday, Sept. 24.  We will once again be riding from Armour to the Alpha Center in Sioux Falls on a mission to "save babies, one mile at a time". If you are interested in riding please go to our website, bikeforlifesd.org to register. If you would like to donate to this worthy cause, you can do so through our website or send checks to SESD Lutherans for Life, PO Box 265, Menno SD 57045. Please mark the checks with Bike For Life in the check memo. MAIN STREET LIVING – September 11th  “Trinity for the Lost” is presented by Rev. Nathan Neugebauer of St. Johns Lutheran in Revillo and Bethlehem Lutheran in Milbank SD. The message is based on Luke 15:1-10. The Main Street Living Choir will lead the singing of: Today Your Mercy Calls Us; Jesus Sinners Doth Receive; and The Lord’s My Shepherd, I’ll not want. The program is interpreted and closed captioned for the hearing impaired.

CONFIRMATION CLASS - will begin on Wednesday September 7th at 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

LWML - will meet Thursday, September 8th. at 2:00 p.m. at the home of Lee Lagendyk.

SUNDAY SCHOOL - will begin on Sunday September 11th right after the church service.
