1-9-2011- Announcements

CHURCH COUNCIL will meet Wednesday evening at 7:00 pm.

LWML will meet Thursday evening at 7:30 p.m. Topic will be given by Marge and lunch will be served by Julie.

IN OUR DAILY PRAYERS this week, we pray for Phyllis Knittel as she recovers at home; for Darlene Schrag and Jerry Saner during their time of diagnosis and treatment; for Richard Salis hospitalized in Sioux Falls as well as for our shut-in members, our inactive members and for at least two people in your life who don’t know Christ.

LABORERS FOR CHRIST has been blessed over the past several months with a significant increase in inquiries and applications for their services. The process of recruiting new people into this ministry as project managers is a continuing and challenging one. If you (or someone you know) has experience in construction and has an interest in working with LFC as a project manager, please contact Dan Baker at (517) 206-2088. Thank you for your help, partnership and continued support.

DARTBALL SEASON will be starting January 17th. First game will be held at Clayton and we are in need of more players. If you are interested in playing, please contact Orville or Dean. Women are also welcome to join us!

SIGN UP SHEET: There is a signup sheet on the bulletin board in fellowship hall to sign up for a light snack for the children as they come here from school for Weekday school and Confirmation.

ANNUAL REPORTS: Please give your annual report to Diane by the end of January. Thank you!

MAIN STREET LIVING:
January 16, 2011
The featured speaker is Rev. Aaron Pingel from Blessed Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Sturgis, SD. The sermon theme is "Christmas for the Gentiles." The hymns are What Child Is This; As with Gladness Men of Old; Songs of Thankfulness and Praise. The Main Street Living choir will provide the hymns. The program is interpreted for the hearing impaired.

ANNUAL VOTER’S MEETING will be held after church service on January 30th. Please plan to attend this meeting.

PLEASE LET US KNOW if you or another of our members is sick, hospitalized, has a new baby, has a death in the family, etc. This will enable us (pastor, elders and others) to visit them, send a note of encouragement and to keep the person and his or her family in our prayers.
