3-13-2011 announcements

IN OUR DAILY PRAYERS this week, we pray for Leann Albrecht and her family, Roman Miller, Richard Salis, Gary Schrag and Delphine Laber as well as for our shut-in members, our inactive members and for at least two people in your life who don’t know Christ.

We all know the importance of learning God's Word. Having good attendance at Sunday School is a great way to reinforce an active Christian life! Board of Education

SOUTH DAKOTA DISTRICT LWML retreat will be held April 8th and 9th in Pierre. Topic will be: “Faith Talk.” A poster is on the bulletin board in the fellowship hall. Any other questions? Please speak with Wyona.

The 34th Biennial LWML Convention will be held June 23rd - 26th in Peoria, Ill. The topic is “Being with Jesus – Living on the Edge.” Complete information is in the Winter Quarterly.

LENTEN SEASON SOUP AND SANDWICH SUPPERS will be served from 5:45 thru 6:45 on Wednesdays during Lent. If anybody – or a group – would like to volunteer to do one of the Wednesday meals, please contact Diane at the church office (925-7219) or call her directly at 660-2911 right away. Thanks!

MIDWEEK LENTEN SERVICES this year as well as our Holy Week services will focus on the “I AM” statements of Jesus in which we will see the divinity of Christ and the lengths to which He goes for our eternal salvation. All services will begin at 7:00 p.m. Please mark your calendars and PLEASE join us for worship! P.S.: Don’t forget to bring a friend!

MAIN STREET LIVING:

March 20, 2011 Kid's Crossing will look at John 3:16, "For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son." The featured speaker Rev. Jais Tinglund from Our Savior Lutheran Church in Aberdeen and St. John's Lutheran Church in Columbia, SD. The sermon theme is "Good Things Coming?" The hymns are God Loved the World so that He Gave; When I Survey the Wondrous Cross; and Just as I Am. The Main Street Living Choir will provide the hymns. The program is interpreted for the hearing impaired.
