CONFIRMATION PICTURE PROJECT UPDATE – This project of gathering prior confirmation class pictures for eventual display in our church is progressing very well! We now have 61 photos of the 78 years our church has had such classes. The 17 remaining years of which we are still searching for pictures are: 1932, 1935, 1936, 1941, 1942, 1944, 1947, 1951, 1952, 1961, 1967, 1973, 1976, 1988, 1989, 1995 and 2005. If you were confirmed in one of these years or know someone who was, we sure would like to get a copy of that class’ picture to add to our collection. Thanks to all of you who were willing to spend your time and effort to search thru attics, picture albums and boxes of pictures! The success of this project is because of you!
SUMMER SUNDAY SCHOOL – There will be Sunday School today after the worship service. Class will be held in the confirmation classroom.

COMMUNION DISTRIBUTION procedures will change slightly this week. In consideration of those who have difficulty walking up and down the steps to the altar we will distribute the Communion elements at the front of the sanctuary. You may come forward when directed to do so by the ushers, forming a single line down the center aisle. Both the common cup and individual cups will still be available. After receiving the Lord’s Supper, please return to your pew via the side aisle on your side of the sanctuary. We will commune one side of the sanctuary at a time. There will be one blessing and dismissal at the end after everyone has communed. Please give your comments on this trial procedure to any elder (Gary Pfeiffer, Scott Stern and Paul Wynia).

THE BIBLE ON TRIAL – The Bible … how could it possibly be accurate? How can you know? What about this book that has compelled people to give their lives to defend its claims? The validity of the Bible has been questioned for ages and still remains an intriguing subject that has a proven ability to attract audiences! “The Bible on Trial” from Envoy Productions takes a unique look at the subject and presents facts about the most widely printed book in history. Internationally recognized experts of ancient texts, archaeological and other related disciplines illuminate the efforts taken throughout history to ensure the integrity and significance of this ancient text. The “Bible on Trial” invites viewers to be the jury in this case. There will be a special showing of this compelling program on KDLT, the NBC affiliate from Sioux Falls today and also on June 19th immediately following Main Street Living. This program is sponsored by the Lutheran Laymen's League of South Dakota, and the LWML.
