10-14-2012 Announcements

IN OUR DAILY PRAYERS this week we remember the hospitalized (Myron Schaffer and Donna Rasmussen), those who are recovering from illness or surgery, those in cancer treatment programs, our shut-in and inactive members, and our friends and relatives who do not yet know Christ.

THE LORD’S SUPPER at St. Paul Lutheran Church is administered in accordance with the Holy Scriptures and the Lutheran Confessions.  It is celebrated in the confidence that we receive – in, with and under the consecrated bread and wine – our Savior’s true Body and Blood for the forgiveness of our sins.  All who commune at this altar are making this public confession of the faith that we believe and teach as is written in the Holy Scriptures.  If you are not a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and yet desire to receive the Sacrament, please speak with the Pastor before the worship service.

THE SUNDAY SCHOOL CHILDREN will again be performing the Christmas Eve service.  We ask that you e-mail Amber at ambersayler@hotmail.com or call her at 925-7132 to let her know if your child/children will be participating.  We would like to know no later than the end of October so parts can be divided out accordingly and a practice schedule can be set up.  Thank you! -- Bd of Education

LIFETOUCH FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHY will be taking pictures for our photo directory on Tuesday, Nov. 6th thru Saturday, Nov. 10th.  Please mark your calendar.  We will be doing sign-ups during coffee hour on Oct. 7th and Oct. 14th or you may sign-up thru the church’s website.  See the bulletin board notice for more information.

MEMORIAL SERVICE – Freeman Sanford Hospice will be hosting their annual memorial service on October 21st at 2:30 at the Arboretum Visitors Center.  The service is open to anyone who has experienced the death of a loved one this last year.  Registration is not required.

YOUTH GROUP meeting is tonight at 7:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall.  Everyone please plan to attend – both parents and youth – to discuss the upcoming year.

FUNERAL SERVING GROUPS – All members are encouraged to participate in serving fellowship luncheons at funerals.  One group will take responsibility for each funeral, rotating the groups.  The chairman will contact members of that group or you can call the chairman for donations of food and offers for helping to setup, serve and clean up.  Each group will also accept offers from anyone listed in other groups.  Please note that both husband and wife are listed.  When possible, men are welcome to help also, either in the kitchen, serving or in setting up tables, chairs, etc.  A revised list of groups will be available from the ushers after the service this morning.  This list will also be posted on the bulletin board in the fellowship hall.  Thanks.

BAZAAR – Please plan to attend the annual Bazaar on Nov. 1st from 10:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.  We will again have a Country Store, Stitchery/Craft Booth and the Lunch Counter.  We are still in need of a few volunteers to help us during the day or evening and some food donations; please talk to Sharon Pfeiffer if you are willing to help or donate.  We plan to have the work schedule and the food donation list posted by next Sunday.  Thanks.

BAZAAR SET UP – We will be setting up for the Bazaar and cleaning the kitchen on Sunday, Oct. 28th starting at 1 p.m. We would appreciate it if you would come and help us with this project.  Thank you.

MAIN STREET LIVING – Current programming information is unavailable at the time of this printing.  MSL may be seen each Sunday morning at 10:00 on KDLT-NBC.
