IN OUR DAILY PRAYERS this week please pray for those who are recovering from surgery
and illness, and those in cancer treatment programs as well as our shut-in and
inactive members, and at least 2 family members or friends in your life who do
not yet know Christ.
MAIN STREET LIVING – Sept. 15th – Kid’s Crossing shows us that wisdom helps in making the right decisions in our life. The featured speaker is Rev. Scott Spiehs from St. John Lutheran Church in Wolsey. His sermon theme will be “Jesus Christ Saves Sinners.” The program is interpreted for the hearing impaired.
PORTALS OF PRAYER – In addition to the standard pocket-size edition and the
full-size, large print edition, Portals of Prayer now has available a
digest-size edition. Both the size of
the booklet and the size of the font are in between the other two editions –
that is, the booklet and the font in the digest size are larger than the
pocket-size edition and are smaller than the large print edition. If you would like to receive the new
digest-size booklet each quarter (or for one quarter as a trial period), please
let the pastor know.
THE LORD’S SUPPER at St. Paul Lutheran Church is administered in accordance with the
Holy Scriptures and the Lutheran Confessions.
It is celebrated in the confidence that we receive – in, with and under
the consecrated bread and wine – our Savior’s true Body and Blood for the
forgiveness of our sins. All who commune
at this altar are making this public confession of the faith that we believe
and teach as is written in the Holy Scriptures.
If you are not a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and yet desire to
receive the Sacrament, please speak with the Pastor before the worship service.
