IN YOUR DAILY PRAYERS this week please remember Julie Huber who is scheduled for knee replacement surgery tomorrow morning, Ella and Elsie Hein as they continue to recuperate, our high school graduates, those who are recovering from surgery and illness, those in cancer treatment programs as well as our shut-in and inactive members, and at least 2 family members or friends in your life who do not yet know Christ.

THE LORD’S SUPPER at St. Paul Lutheran Church is administered in accordance with the Holy Scriptures and the Lutheran Confessions.  It is celebrated in the confidence that we receive – in, with and under the consecrated bread and wine – our Savior’s true Body and Blood for the forgiveness of our sins.  All who commune at this altar are making this public confession of the faith that we believe and teach as is written in the Holy Scriptures.  If you are not a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and yet desire to receive the Sacrament, please speak with the Pastor before the worship service.
 

Main Street Living – May 11^th – The featured speaker will be Rev. Matthew Nix of Christ Lutheran Church and Trinity Lutheran Church for the Deaf, both in Sioux Falls.  His sermon theme will be “Are Your Hearts Glad?”  The program is interpreted for the hearing impaired.

CONGRATULATIONS and GOD’S BLESSINGS to our 2014 high school graduates:  Paige Albrecht, Nicole Hinckley, Matthew Peterson and Maria Starner.

CORRECTION SHEET: Anyone interested in getting a correction sheet for the cookbook, please see the bulletin board for the green insert. There are five corrections that will affect the outcome of the recipes. Thank you to those that helped make the corrections.  Also thanks again to all that submitted recipes and purchased cookbooks. There are still cookbooks available.

MISSION SUNDAY this year will be May 25^th.  Our guest pastor will be Rev. Chris LaBoube who has been working with Lutheran Bible Translators in Ghana, West Africa for the last 4 years.  His work as Scripture Media Advisor principally entails the translation, recording and dissemination of Christian literature and music.  Prior to being called to serve with LBT in Ghana, Rev. LaBoube was the pastor at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Greenleaf, Kansas.  Rev. LaBoube will also have a presentation for us during the first part of our Fellowship Hour after our worship service.  Everyone is encouraged to stay for our fellowship time and Rev. LaBoube’s discussion session.  We will be accepting freewill donations between now and the 25^th to help support his mission work.

OUR CHURCH is serving at The Banquet in Sioux Falls Wednesday May 21st.  Many volunteers from the congregation are needed. They suggests to have around 40 people.  Please sign up on the bulletin board if you are willing and able to help with this project. A small group will need to be there by 2 p.m. to help prepare the meal and servers/helpers are asked to be there by 5:15 p.m.
