06-15-2014 Announcements

IN OUR DAILY PRAYERS this week we remember Richard Salis who has continuing health issues, Myron Schaffer who will go back to the VA hospital tomorrow for leg amputation surgery, Jake Rempfer and Burgandy Herrboldt for their upcoming wedding on Saturday and subsequent married life together, those who are recovering from surgery and illness, those in cancer treatment programs as well as our shut-in and inactive members, and at least 2 family members or friends in your life who do not yet know Christ.

THE LORD’S SUPPER at St. Paul Lutheran Church is administered in accordance with the Holy Scriptures and the Lutheran Confessions.  It is celebrated in the confidence that we receive – in, with and under the consecrated bread and wine – our Savior’s true Body and Blood for the forgiveness of our sins.  All who commune at this altar are making this public confession of the faith that we believe and teach as is written in the Holy Scriptures.  If you are not a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and yet desire to receive the Sacrament, please speak with the Pastor before the worship service.

Main Street Living – June 15th – The featured speaker will be Rev. Caleb Schewe of Trinity Lutheran Church in Corona and Our Savior Lutheran Church in Wilmont.  His sermon theme will be “Intelligible Words About God.”  The program is interpreted for the hearing impaired.

PASTOR IS ON VACATION thru tomorrow.  Rev. Peter Sestak from Sioux Falls will be leading our worship service today.  Thank you, Rev. Sestak!  Rev. David Ellis from Menno is on call for pastoral emergencies.  You may reach him at 605-760-7836.  You may also contact any of our elders for assistance.

The FLOWERS ON THE ALTAR today were given by the family of Roman and Norma Miller in honor of their 40th wedding anniversary on June 13th.  Happy anniversary!  May God continue to bless you always!

happy 90th birthday to June Heckenlaible!  On June 10th she celebrated her birthday at home with her family; she had wanted to return to Freeman for the occasion but, because of health reasons, was unable to do so.  For those who wish to send her a card – and we encourage everyone to do so! – June’s address is:  11903 Camden Brook St., Las Vegas, NV 89183-5640.

MEN’S BIBLE STUDY CLASS is done now for the summer.  We will resume our Wednesday morning fellowship time in September.
