11-09-2014 Announcements

IN YOUR DAILY PRAYERS this week please remember the family of Roland Sayler who was called to his eternal home last Sunday as well as Cheryl Walz, Tom Stolp, Arden Stern, Richard Salis, Mahala Peterson, Joan Dreessen and all others who are recovering from surgery and illness, those in cancer treatment programs as well as our shut-in and inactive members, and at least 2 family members or friends in your life who do not yet know Christ.

 MAIN STREET LIVING – Nov. 9th – The featured speaker is Rev. Daniel Domke of Mount Calvary Lutheran Church in Huron.  The program is interpreted for the hearing impaired.

hospice workshopSanford Hospice Freeman is hosting a “Grief in the Holidays” workshop on Thursday, Nov. 13, from 6:00 until 7:30 p.m. in the conference room at the Freeman Medical Center.  If you are interested in attending, please call LaVonne Brockmueller at 925-2120.

THE LORD’S SUPPER at St. Paul Lutheran Church is administered in accordance with the Holy Scriptures and the Lutheran Confessions.  It is celebrated in the confidence that we receive – in, with and under the consecrated bread and wine – our Savior’s true Body and Blood for the forgiveness of our sins.  All who commune at this altar are making this public confession of the faith that we believe and teach as is written in the Holy Scriptures.  If you are not a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and yet desire to receive the Sacrament, please speak with the Pastor before the worship service.

THRIVENT ANNUAL MEETING – We will be hosting this year’s annual meeting of Hutchinson County Chapter of Thrivent Insurance tonight at 6:00.

  CHRISTMAS PROGRAM PRACTICE:

Grades 7th & 8th and PreK-- 1st this week Wed Nov 12th  5-6 p.m

Grades 3rd - 8th next week Nov 19 5-6:15 p.m.

LWML will meet on Thursday November 13th at 7:00 p.m. at the Salem Home. Pastor will lead Bible Study and Wyona will provide lunch.

CHURCH DEDICATION – Martinus Lutheran Church in Utica will have the dedication service for their new church building on Nov. 23rd at 3:30, followed by a dinner.  Everyone is invited.  Additional information has been posted on the bulletin board.

SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHERS needed for the November 16th through December 7th.  We will be teaching the Christmas Story through Textiles, Art, Creative Writing/Music, and Cooking. Each workshop is taught three of the four weeks, so this is a three week commitment.   If you are interested in teaching, please talk to Kristi, Amber, Maria, or Lisa

CONFIRMATION PICTURE PROJECT   The gathering of 75+ years of confirmation pictures and getting them displayed is nearing completion.  Darren Walz hung the display bracket hardware in the Fellowship Hall.  Thank you, Darren!  As the pictures get posted, please check them out and for the pictures without names, please give the name, year of confirmation and placement within the group to the pastor so that we can update the class rosters.  Thanks!
