06-14-2015 Announcements

IN OUR DAILY PRAYERS this week please include Carly Fritz who will be leaving this week on a mission trip to Alaska, Berniece Graber who has been in and out of the hospital, Lucille Rembold who is hospitalized after her fall, all who are recovering from surgery and illness, those in cancer treatment programs, our shut-in and inactive members, and at least 2 family members or friends in your life who do not yet know Christ.

THE LORD’S SUPPER at St. Paul Lutheran Church is administered in accordance with the Holy Scriptures and the Lutheran Confessions.  It is celebrated in the confidence that we receive – in, with and under the consecrated bread and wine – our Savior’s true Body and Blood for the forgiveness of our sins.  All who commune at this altar are making this public confession of the faith that we believe and teach as is written in the Holy Scriptures.  If you are not a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and yet desire to receive the Sacrament, please speak with the Pastor before the worship service.

Main Street Living – June 14th – The featured speaker is Rev. Albert Sutton of Evergreen Lutheran Church in Porcupine, SD.  The program is interpreted for the hearing impaired.

DISTRICT PRESIDENT INSTALLATION – Rev. Scott Sailer will be installed as 14th President of the SD District of the LCMS this afternoon at 5:00 at Faith Lutheran Church (601 N Cliff Ave., Sioux Falls).  Everyone is invited to attend.

THE BOE is asking that parishioners please save large brown paper bags and newspapers during June.  They will be used for making  VBS decorations.  Please put them in the tote  provided in the fellowship hall.

MISSION TRIP – On June 19th I will leave for Akiachak, Alaska and help lead a Bible camp and basketball camp in that village.  I want to thank you again for the overwhelming support and donations you have given our mission team.  We are eager to spend time with the people of Akiachak and to spread God’s love and word with those we encounter.  Please keep us in your prayers while we travel and work with the people of Akiachak.  (s) Carly Fritz and the St. John’s mission team

ANNUAL DIAPER DERBY:  LFL will be accepting donations of diapers and other baby items starting Mother's Day, May 10th, through Father's Day, June 21st.  Please place your items in the crib located in the fellowship hall.  Items will be donated to local and regional families in need.
