IN YOUR PRAYERS - this week please remember those who are recovering from surgery and illness, those in cancer treatment programs, our shut-in and inactive members, and at least 2 family members or friends in your life who do not yet know Christ.

MAIN STREE LIVING April 3, Rev. David Knefelkamp of Zion Lutheran Church in White, and First English Lutheran Church in Aurora SD, brings us today’s message titled “Breathe Forgiveness”, based on John 20:19-31.. The program is interpreted and closed captioned for the hearing impaired.

THERE WILL BE no Sunday School today.

LADIES AID will meet on April 7th at 7:00 pm with Mildred Siekmann as Hostess.  Bible Study “The Story of Angels will be led by Pastor Weeman followed by the business meeting.  Mildred Siekmann is on Altar Guild for April and Visiting Helper is Phyllis Knittel

LAWN MOWING  The trustees are taking bids for mowing the lawn at the chuch and parsonage this summer.  If you would like to put in a bid to mow the lawn this summer please contact Jesse Thomas at 925-7713 home or 605-359-8741 cell number. Thank you.

THANK YOU to the St. Paul Lutheran Choir for braving the snow on Wednesday to share their voices with residents at Freeman Regional and the Salem Home.

03-20-2016 Announcements

THE LORD’S SUPPER at St. Paul Lutheran Church is administered in accordance with the Holy Scriptures and the Lutheran Confessions.  It is celebrated in the confidence that we receive – in, with and under the consecrated bread and wine – our Savior’s true Body and Blood for the forgiveness of our sins.  All who commune at this altar are making this public confession of the faith that we believe and teach as is written in the Holy Scriptures.  If you are not a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and yet desire to receive the Sacrament, please speak with the Pastor before the worship service.

MAIN STREE LIVING Rev. Scott Sailer, President of the South Dakota District, LCMS brings the Easter message titled “but…”, based on Luke 24: 1-12. The Main Street Living choir will lead the hymn singing of: Jesus Christ is Risen Today; I Know That My Redeemer Lives; and Alleluia, Alleluia! Hearts to Heaven. The progran is closed captioned and interpreted for the hearing impaired.

EASTER SUNRISE SERVICE  Please Join the Youth Group for an Easter Sunrise service at 7:00am, you will hear from Simon Peter, Mary Magdalene, Pontius Pilate and a Centurion about the death and resurrection of Jesus.   Also join us for breakfast and fellowship in the fellowship hall from 8:00am to 9:15am.

ANNUAL REPORTS – the 2015 annual reports were handed out.  Extra copies can be found on the rack in the Narthex.  If more copies are needed please let Denise Peterson know.  Also we are asking that you check over all of the names, addresses and phone numbers listed.  If yours are not correct please let Denise Peterson or Aleta Starner know so that changes can be made.  Please do the same with the birthdays and anniversaries on the back of the monthly calendars.

MAIN STREE LIVING  March 20, 2016-Rev. Aaron Asmus leads the worship service with a sermon titled “How May I Serve You?”, based on John 12 and Phillippians 2. The program is interpreted and closed captioned for the hearing impaired.

  • The pastoral vacancy
  • What is the relationship of St. Paul's to the Synod and District?
  • What is the mission of St. Paul's?
  • What strengths of the congregation move you forward in achieving its mission?
  • What challenges or obstacles get in the way of St. Paul's achieving its mission?
  • What aspirations do you have for your congregation (hopes for the future)?
WELCOME Rev. Scott Sailer, South Dakota District President, and thank you for preaching the Word, and for meeting with St. Paul congregation to lead us in beginning an evaluation process with the goal of calling a new undershepherd of Christ to nuture in this place.

MID WEEK MEALS FOR LENT:  Last time this season from 6:00-6:45 p.m. on March 16 menu includes Tator Tot Casserole, fruit and desserts.
Thank you to everyone that participated in these meals; helping, eating, giving and partaking in fellowship.  The youth group has been blessed by all the positive feed back and your donations. Thanks again.
Easter Breakfast is also being planned for after Sunrise Service.

MAIN STREET LIVING -  Rev. Matthew Resner of Immanuel Lutheran in Menno, and St. Paul Lutheran in Scotland brings todays sermon titled “No Longer Regarded According to the Flesh” based on 2 Corinthians 5: 16-21.  The program is interpreted and closed captioned for the hearing impaired.

DARTBALL ZONE TOURNAMENT -  hosted by Zion/Delmont at the Delmont Legion Hall on Main St. is TODAY at 3:00 pm.  If you want to carpool, be at St. Paul/Freeman at 2:15 pm.

DARTBALL STATE TOURNAMENT - hosted by Faith/Sioux Falls at 601 N. Cliff Ave. will be this Sat. (March 12) at 10:30 am.  If you want to carpool, be at St. Paul/Freeman at 9:15 am.

MID WEEK MEALS FOR LENT: plan to join the youth group as we serve some freewill suppers before Lent services. 6:00-6:45 p.m. on March 9 and 16. Menu for March 9 will be chili soup and grilled cheese sandwich. 
Easter Breakfast is also being planned for after Sunrise Service. 

LWML -  will meet March 10th. at 2:00 p.m. at Wyona Hofers.
