MAIN STREET LIVING – October 9: Rev.
Dr. Christopher Ascher, Pastor at Resurrection Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls,
SD, delivers today’s message “Roots”, based on Ruth 1: 1-19. The Main Street
Living Choir will lead the singing of: O For a Thousand Tongues To Sing; Blest
Be the Tie That Binds; and O That the Lord Would Guide My Ways. The program is
interpreted and closed captioned for the hearing impaired.

NOTE TIME CHANGE: The choir will begin rehearsals
at 11:20. All ages are welcome!
LADIES AID - will meet on Oct. 6th at 7:00 pm with Cindy
Hofer as Hostess. Bible Study on Angels will be led by Pastor Weeman
followed by the business meeting. Bob and Karen Pidde are on Altar Guild
for October and Garnet Stern and Lee Lagendyk are Visiting Helpers for October.
POTLUCK - Everyone is welcome. The Youth Group will be
hosting a potluck next Sunday October 9th at 11:30 as a delayed Thank you to
the congregation for all the support in helping us get to New Orleans. The
Youth Group will provide grilled brats, hotdogs and drinks. The Youth Group families will provide
desserts. We are asking the congregation to bring a side or salad
to share and come to enjoy fellowship.
COFFEE HOUR
NEXT SUNDAY (9TH) - will be coffee/ juice only but please plan to
attend the potluck at 11:30. Sunday school kids will be provided a small
snack upstairs.
THE BAZAAR COMMITTEE – has started making plans for the November
3rd event, which will run from 10:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Food donations are
needed for chicken noodle soup, vegetable soup, chili soup, chicken sandwich
meat, tavern, salads, pies, cake, pickles, crackers & coffee. We will also
need workers for the day and evening shifts. We are planning on a
Crafts/Stitchery & Baked/Canned booth and the Lunch Counter. Please see or
call Sharon Pfeiffer (925-7604), Kelli Broders (925-7502), or Penny Smidt (925-4292)
if you are willing to donate food or work.
