MISSION/MINISTRY OF THE MONTH FOR OCTOBER is; Christ’s Care for Children: Kenya, which is a sponsorship program that matches donors in the U.S. with children who are living in one of the boarding facilities in Kenya. The cost to sponsor a child is $90 per month or $1,080 for the whole year. Sponsorship is more than just food and shelter. The Christ’s Care for Children: Kenya program is also designed to equip children with everything necessary for success in life. The children learn to plant, harvest, cook, tend to livestock, clean the compounds and care for their personal space. Instead of donating in the free will basket at Fellowship hour, feel free to visit https://www.lcms.org/make-a-gift/christs-care-for-children-kenya to sponsor a child OR make a motion to the Voter’s Assembly for St. Paul Lutheran Church, Freeman, to sponsor a child in their budget
