BEGINNING HOLY THURSDAY, the chalice will be offered first during communion, followed by the individual cups. Why?  Data has shown, the chalice is “more sanitary” than individual cup! - Pastor

INTIMATE SACRAMENT:  The Lord’s Table is open and offered to all current, confirmed members in good standing of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (and churches that we are in pulpit and altar fellowship) who desire it.  This assumes we confess the oneness of the same faith, have been taught how to examine ourselves, and are truly repentant for our sins (worthily). We ask that all guests at Table at St. Paul Lutheran Church of Freeman, to please announce your intention to commune with us to the pastor or elders before the service. Oneness at Communion pre-supposes the horizontal oneness with each other in doctrine.  If you belong to a different doctrinal confession however, we invite you to come forward to receive a blessing indicated by folding your arms over your chest as you come to the rail, or remain in the pew and pray for the day when divisions would cease. Thank you for respecting our teachings. - Pastor.

Please welcome guest preacher Pastor David Ellis Sunday April 18th (no communion) while pastor is vacation April 15th-20th. Pastor Makelin is available for emergencies with a two hour delay by phone however, except on April 17th where Pastor Thomas Christopher will be on call.

MAIN STREET LIVING:  This is the Life at 10:00 a.m. and Worship Service at 10:30 a.m.  See BlogSpot.

THE MELCHER/ DEWALD/ HEIN SCHOLARSHIP:   Completed forms may be returned to Joan or Karen by today April 11, 2021.

LAWN MOWING:  Please submit your sealed bid to Darren Walz by today, April 11.

PLEASE SEE BULLETIN BOARD:  for information from the Janstrams, our missionaries we support in Japan, and the winners of this years Bible Bowl.

Men's Bible Study Starts the Book of Amos on Wednesdays 6:00am to 7:00am. Amos, while not the first of Israel's prophets (Elijah and Elisha preceded him by about 100 years), he is the first to have his message written down. He preached to the nation of Israel and Judah about their social and moral ills around 760 B.C., While it is tempting to apply Amos' message directly to today's society with obvious comparisons, we can only see them through the lens of Amos' context of the conditions of Israel in 800 B.C. Please join us if you can.

THRIVENT DOLLARS- We the Thrivent Committee of St Paul’s, are reminding you that you need to direct your Thrivent Choice Dollars every year before March 1st.  Without your individual directive, Thrivent chooses which non-profit organization receives your money.  We hope that you will either call or go online to designate our church as the recipient of those funds to benefit our needs here at home.  1-800-847-4836 or thrivent.com Thank you!

Wonder what Baptism is, isn't, what it does or does not do? You could always look up and read Luther's Large Catechism in the Book of Concord, or, look these up. Read enough verses before and after them to understand the context of what is going on, and then - as you read these texts - ask yourself; "who is doing what to whom?" 1 Peter 3:21 - John 3:3-8 - Mark 16:16 - Acts 2:38-39 - Colossians 2:11-13 - Ephesians 4:4-6 - Ephesians 5:25-27 - 1 Corinthians 6:11 - Acts 22:16 - Acts 19:5-6 - Revelation 22:17 - Ezekiel 36:25-27 - Hebrews 10:22 - Romans 6:1-4 - Galatians 3:27-29 - Titus 3:5-7 - Matthew 28:19-29 - 1 John 5:7 - 1 Corinthians 10:1-4

INTIMATE SACRAMENT:  We continue to celebrate the Lord’s Supper every week for those who have not been able to commune in some time, in the glad confidence and confession, that our Lord, as He says, gives not only bread and wine, but His very body and blood to eat and drink for the forgiveness of sin.  In these pandemic times, we have instituted as much as possible the physical distancing and sanitation practices to assure your physical safety, while still providing Christ for your physical/spiritual/emotional/psychological safety against sin, death, and the devil. If you do not share in this confession of our congregation and LC-Missouri Synod, or are not yet instructed, or have doubts – please speak to the pastor first. Or, you are invited to come to the rail for a blessing and meditate on God’s Word during the distribution, praying for the day when divisions will have ceased.
