announcements 4-4-10

THANK YOU to all who provided an Easter lily to be used at the Easter Services. If you desire, you may take your flower home after service.

COFFEE HOUR: There will be coffee hour after church service
this morning in honor of Pastor Kramer’s birthday. Happy
Birthday Pastor!!

LWML will meet Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. “Where Jesus
Walked,” will be shown. Marlene has topic, Gerry will be hostess.
Everyone is invited to attend.

MENTOR/MENTEE outing will be next Sunday, April 11th. We will
be leaving after church to Sioux Falls for dinner and a movie.

LAWN MOWING: Trustees are accepting bids for lawn mowing.
Please submit your bid to Mark, Scott or Craig as soon as possible.

MELCHER SCHOLARSHIP: Please turn your application for
the Melcher Scholarship to Garnet, Sylvia or Clarice as soon as
possible.

SWAN LAKE CHRISTIAN CAMP: There are brochures for Swan
Lake Camp on the bulletin board in fellowship hall.

CAMP MINNEBOJI: There are brochures for Camp Minneboji on
the bulletin board in fellowship hall.

SNACKS: There is a sign up sheet in fellowship hall for snacks for
Weekday School and Confirmation. If anyone is able to help out with
this it would be appreciated.

LUTHERAN WITNESS: If you know of any address changes that
need to be made to the Lutheran Witness, please let me know. Or if you
are not receiving the Lutheran Witness and would like to, please let me
know. Diane

PORTALS OF PRAYER: If you or if there is someone you know who
would like to receive the Portals of Prayer in large print, please sign up on the sheet in fellowship hall.

FOR I WAS HUNGRY AND YOU GAVE ME SOMETHING TO EAT, I WAS THIRSTY AND YOU GAVE ME SOMETHING TO DRINK, I WAS A STRANGER AND YOU INVITED ME IN. MATTHEW 25:35: We will again be serving at The Banquet in Sioux Falls. The date is set for Tuesday, April 27th. We will need 6-7 volunteers to be there at 2:00 p.m. to help prepare the meal. We will also need 35-40 volunteers to be there at 5:15 to serve the meal. Sign up sheets are posted on the bulletin board in the Fellowship Hall. Your help is greatly appreciated. We had a wonderful turnout last year. I hope we can do it again. It was a humbling and worthwhile experience. Any questions, please contact Joan.

MAIN STREET LIVING:

April 11th Kid's Crossing goes with Thomas as Christ shows him the wounds in his hands so he will believe.
The featured speaker is Rev. Jeff Kalb from Emanuel Lutheran Church in Sisseton, SD, and Zion Lutheran Church in Waubay, SD. The sermon theme is "No Fear!" The hymns are He's Risen, He's Risen, Christ Jesus the Lord. The Main Street Living Choir will provide the hymns. The program is interpreted for the hearing impaired.
