8-29-2010 Announcements

FLOWERS: The bouquet of roses on the right hand side of the altar is in honor of Ella and Elsie’s birthday. The roses on the left hand side of the altar are also given in honor of Ella and Elsie’s birthday given by Bill and Roberta Morfeld. Happy Birthday!!

CONGRATULATIONS to Orville and Julianne Huber as they will celebrate their 50th Anniversary on 9-4-10. Flowers on the piano are given by their children in observance of the GOLDEN occasion. Congratulations!!

“I HAVE GOOD NEWS FOR YOU” will be held after church service.

SUMMER SUNDAY SCHOOL will be held after church service.

LADIES AID will meet Thursday evening at 7:30 p.m.

SUNDAY SCHOOL will start September 12th! Please mark your calendars.

MIDWEEK CLASSES for the 5th-8th grade will begin on September 8th form 3:45 to 5:00 p.m. There is a sign up sheet on the bulletin board in fellowship hall to sign up for a light snack for the children as the come from school.

CHOIR will begin on Sept. 8th at 8:00 p.m. High school age on up are welcomed to join.

MAIN STREET LIVING:

Sept. 5th Kid's Crossing is based on Luke 12:15. Janitor Bob talks about what it means to follow Jesus.
The featured speaker is Rev. Rev. Greg Hinners from Immanuel Lutheran Church of Wecota, SD, and Concordia Lutheran Church in Cresbard, SD. The sermon theme is "Walking as Jesus Walked." The hymns are In the Cross of Christ I Glory; When I Survey the Wondrous Cross; and Let Us Ever Walk With Jesus. The Main Street Living Choir will provide the hymns. The program is interpreted for the hearing impaired.

Choir PASTOR NABIL NOUR, will again lead the 100 mile ride from Armour to Sioux Falls Alpha Center on Saturday, September 11, 2010. Lutherans For Life will host the luncheon rest stop at St. Paul Lutheran church this year due to the overabundance of rain (and mosquitoes) making our normal roadside stop inadvisable.

Bike for Life proceeds continues to support the ultrasound ministry of the Sioux Falls Alpha Center Crisis Pregnancy Center and “The Fleet for Little Feet” mobile unit as well as the Life: A Better Choice Campaign.”
