06-03-12 Announcements

IN OUR DAILY PRAYERS this week please include Chris Schenkel (hospitalized for diabetes complications), Geoffrey Pfeiffer (hospitalized for brain tumor removal surgery), Judy Walter’s grandson (hospitalized with a staff infection in his spine), the family of Evelyn Nies (daughter of Rev. and Mrs. Jared Nies, St. John Lutheran Church, Gregory) who was received into God’s eternal presence last Sunday at the age of 2 days, the family of Raymond Drake (father-in-law of Rev. Karl Gregory) who went to be with His Lord on May 28th, for all others who are ill, in recovery or in mourning, our shut-in and inactive members, and at least two people in your life who do not know Christ.

BEFORE LEAVING the sanctuary, please find one person whom you don’t know or don’t know very well, introduce yourself and have a brief chat with them.

THANK YOU to all who contributed to the Freeman Regional Hospital Auxiliary Fund Drive.  We collected $109.  Your contribution is greatly appreciated.

LADIES AID will meet on June 7th at 7:00 p.m. for its regular meeting with our Pastor leading the Bible Study on Lesson 6.  Millie Siekmann will serve as hostess.  Altar Guild for June will be Millie Gunderson and Visiting Helper will be Millie Siekmann.

MAIN STREET LIVING – June 10 – (not on KDLT this week) – Kid’s Crossing retells Pentecost with an interview with people who witnessed the event.  The speaker will be Rev. Spiehs from St. John Lutheran Church in Wolsey.  His sermon theme will be “A House Divided Cannot Stand.”  The MSL Choir will provide the hymns.

THE LUTHERAN HOUR June 10 – “We Do Not Lose Heart” will be the sermon theme for Rev. Seltz.  The Lutheran Hour is broadcast every Sunday morning at 8:30 on 105.9 FM (KMIT) and at 9:30 on 570 AM (WNAX).
