07/29/2012 Announcement

IN OUR DAILY PRAYERS this week please pray for all who are in a time of need, those with an upcoming surgery, our members under-going cancer treatments, our shut-in and inactive members, and at least two people in your life who do not yet know Christ.  In addition, Trisha Langle and other Pre-Med students from SDSU will be going to Mombasa, Kenya for the month of August.  While there, they will be volunteering at Port Reitz Hospital, tending to the ill.  Please pray for their safety as they travel and minister to the people of Africa.

LARGE-PRINT HYMNALS – We now have available a few large-print hymnals for those of us who need some assistance because of eyesight difficulties.  If you or someone you know would prefer to use a large-print hymnal, please ask any usher for assistance.

MEN’S BIBLE STUDY CLASS – Rise and shine!  This week we will begin studying the Book of Acts which records the birth, growing pains and spread of the early Christian church.  All materials will be provided.  All guys are welcome to join us each Wednesday at 6:00 a.m. for lots of coffee, a light breakfast and studying God’s Word!

QUARTERLY VOTERS’ MEETING NOTICE – Our Summer voters’ meeting will be held today right after the worship service.

LADIES AID will not meet in August.  Lee Lagendyk is on Altar Guild and Alice Fliginger is the Visiting Helper.  Coffee Hour Committee for August 5th is Sharon P., Millie G. and Clarice H.

THE LUTHERAN HOUR – Aug. 5 – “Life Together” will be Rev. Gregory Seltz’ sermon theme.  The Lutheran Hour is broadcast on Sunday mornings at 8:30 on 105.9 FM and at 9:30 on 570 AM.

MAIN STREET LIVING – Aug. 5 – will not be broadcast this week due to the Olympics.
