05-31-2015 Announcements

IN YOUR DAILY PRAYERS this week please pray for all who are recovering from surgery and illness, those in cancer treatment programs, our shut-in and inactive members, and at least 2 family members or friends in your life who do not yet know Christ.

Main Street Living – May 31st – The featured speaker is Rev. Joshua Jones of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Rapid City.  The program is interpreted for the hearing impaired.

LADIES AID will meet on June 4th at 7:00 pm  with Julianne Huber as Hostess.  The Bible Study will be Session 12-  The Ten Virgins followed by the business meeting.  On Altar Guild for June is Millie Gunderson and Cindy Hofer is visiting helper.

FUNERAL SERVICE – The funeral service for Bobbi Salis will be held on Friday, June 5th at 7:00 p.m.  Coffee and light refreshments will be available beginning at 6:00 as well as after the service.  Everyone is welcome to attend the service and the fellowship times.  Please keep the family in your prayers.  Thanks!

The BOE wishes to thank the men's group for covering the cost of the treats for Sundae Sunday and I want to thank Cheri, Kelly, Bob and Penny as well as  anyone who helped with Sundae
Sunday.

THE BOE wishes to thank Lisa Anderson for all her  hard work on Sunday School as well as the teachers and the kids.

ANNUAL DIAPER DERBY:  LFL will be accepting donations of diapers and other baby items starting Mother's Day, May 10th, through Father's Day, June 21st.  Please place your items in the crib located in the fellowship hall.  Items will be donated to local and regional families in need.

Delmont Relief Fund – The church building and parsonage of Zion Lutheran Church in Delmont were destroyed by a tornado on Sunday, May 10th.  In addition, the homes of 5 of Zion’s families were either destroyed or damaged by the storm.  Miraculously, no lives were lost.  Rather than sending donations directly to Zion, a fund has been established at The South Dakota District Office to receive donations to assist with relief efforts.  Donations should be sent to:

The South Dakota District, LCMS

P.O. Box 89110, Sioux Falls, SD 57109-9110

Checks should be made payable to:  The South Dakota District LCMS and earmarked:  “Delmont Relief Fund.”  Thank you for your assistance.
