08-09-2015 Announcements

IN OUR PRAYERS this week we pray for Melton Langle (hospitalized in Parkston), Sharlene Schaffer (hospitalized in Yankton), Kermit Schrag (hospitalized in Freeman) and all others who are recovering from surgery and illness, those in cancer treatment programs, our shut-in and inactive members, and at least 2 family members or friends in your life who do not yet know Christ.

THE LORD’S SUPPER at St. Paul Lutheran Church is administered in accordance with the Holy Scriptures and the Lutheran Confessions.  It is celebrated in the confidence that we receive – in, with and under the consecrated bread and wine – our Savior’s true Body and Blood for the forgiveness of our sins.  All who commune at this altar are making this public confession of the faith that we believe and teach as is written in the Holy Scriptures.  If you are not a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and yet desire to receive the Sacrament, please speak with the Pastor before the worship service.

Main Street Living – Aug. 9th – The featured speaker is Rev. Nathan Neugebauer of St. John Lutheran Church in Revillo and Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Milbank.  The program is interpreted for the hearing impaired.

MATTHEW RESNER will be ordained and installed at the dual parish of Immanuel Lutheran Church (Menno) and St. Paul Lutheran Church (Scotland) this afternoon at 5:00.  Everyone is invited to attend the installation service.

LWML will meet on Thursday August 13th at 7:00 p.m. at the church. Pastor will lead us in Bible Study. Julie will serve lunch.

HIGH SCHOOL YOUTH GROUP:  We will have a meeting starting at 4:30 followed by a simple supper on August 16th. New officers will be elected for the up coming school year.

THE BOE is having a Rally Day potluck the first day of SS
after Sunday School-Sept. 13, 2015.  Please plan to come
and bring something to share.

BOE is currently looking for one Wed. teacher and several Sunday school teachers for the fall term. Please consider helping and contact a BOE member
