MAIN STREE LIVING - April
10, The Executive Secretary of the South Dakota District LCMS, Rev. Darren
Olson delivers todays message titled “Surprise”, based on Acts 9:1-22. The Main
Street Living choir will perform the hymns: The Day of Resurrection; Lord, Take
My Hand and Lead Me; and Children of the Heavenly Father. The program is
interpreted and closed captioned for the hearing impaired.
LADIES
AID will
meet on April 7th at 7:00 pm with Mildred Siekmann as Hostess. Bible
Study “The Story of Angels will be led by Pastor Weeman followed by the
business meeting. Mildred Siekmann is on Altar Guild for April and
Visiting Helper is Phyllis Knittel
LWML - will
meet Thursday April 14th. at 2:00 p.m. at the home of Lee Lagendyk.
VACATION – Pastor
Ellis will be on vacation from the afternoon of April 3 through April 16. If emergency pastoral care is needed, please
contact the Elders.
GUEST
PASTORS – Rev.
Charles Kramer will be the guest preacher on April 10 and Rev. Scott Sailer
will be the guest preacher on April 17.
NO
COMMUNION – There will
be no Communion on Sunday, April 10.
THE KING
AND HIS QUEEN - A
special two-part Bible study will be presented by District President, Rev.
Scott Sailer, on Sunday, April 17, and Sunday, May 22, during the Sunday School
and Bible Study hour. It is about the special relationship our Lord (King
Jesus!) has with us, the Church (His Queen!). Oh, how He loves us
and wants us to respond to His saving love by worshiping Him and serving
others. The discussion will include where the Pastor fits into the
King’s plan for serving the Queen. This study will help prepare our congregation
for our relationship and service with a new pastor someday!
LAWN
MOWING The
trustees are taking bids for mowing the lawn at the chuch and parsonage this
summer. If you would like to put in a
bid to mow the lawn this summer please contact Jesse Thomas at 925-7713 home or
605-359-8741 cell number. Thank

THANKS - to
everyone who has volunteered to work one or more days at Schmeckfest, April 15,
16, 22 and 23! Forty jobs need to be filled yet, mostly in the areas of
table serving, table clearing and washing dishes. If you are willing to
work or know someone who would be interested in helping, please contact Debra
