05-01-2016 Announcements

IN YOUR PRAYERS - this week please remember those who are recovering from surgery and illness, those in cancer treatment programs, our shut-in and inactive members, and at least 2 family members or friends in your life who do not yet know Christ.

LADIES AID will meet on May 5th at 7:00 with Joan Dreessen as Hostess.  The Bible Study will be The Story of Angels followed by the Business meeting.  On Altar Guild for May is Ella and Elsie Hein and Visiting Helper is June Schamber.

MAIN STREET LIVING - Rev. Matthew Wurm of Mount Calvary Lutheran Church in Brookings, SD delivers today’s message “You, Me, and Judas” based on Acts 1:16-19. The selected hymns: Jesus Christ is Risen Today; Jesus, Thy Blood and Righteousness; and Now Thank We All Our God, will be led by the Main Street Living Choir. The program is interpreted and closed captioned for the hearing impaired.

SUNDAY SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENTS - The last day of Sunday School classes will be on Sunday May 15th.  Our annual Sundae Sunday will be held on Sunday May 22nd right before the special Bible Study led by Pastor Sailer.

CONGREGATIONAL CHALLENGE - The 6th, 7th and 8th grade Sunday school class would like to do an outreach project for the food pantry at Bethany Mennonite Church.  They would like to challenge the congregation to bring shampoo, toilet paper, paper towels, men's and women's deodorant, and Kleenex.   Paper products are in high demand.  Something positive coming from St. Paul would be a good thing.  We would like to do it for the month of May.
