07-30-2017 Announcements

IN YOUR PRAYERS - this week please remember those who are recovering from surgery and illness, those in cancer treatment programs, our shut-in and inactive members and at least 2 family members or friends in your life who do not yet know Christ.

MAIN STREET LIVING – August 6, 2017 message is presented by Rev. Gene Bauman of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Spearfish SD. Titled “Right in Front of us” the message is based on Matthew 14: 13-18. The program is interpreted and closed captioned for the hearing impaired

QUARTERLY VOTERS MEETING NOTICE:  Our summer voters meeting will be held today in the Fellowship Hall right after the worship service.  Please plan to attend.

LADIES AID will meet on August 3rd at 7:00 pm for Bible Study with Pastor Weeman.  Cheri Knittel is responsible for Altar flowers for August. 

THE SALEM MENNONITE HOME in Freeman, is looking for individuals who would like to volunteer to spend some time with our residents.  Volunteer activities could be things such as: reading to a resident with poor eyesight, playing a game, doing a craft project, cooking or baking, or even calling Bingo.  The possibilities are endless.
Please prayerfully consider sharing a bit of your free time with our residents.  To get started please call Denise Peterson at the Salem Mennonite Home at 925-4994.

THE FAMILY OF GERHARD SCHAMBER would like to thank St. Paul members for the delicious lunch that was served following Gerhard's funeral and for the cards and memorials we received. Undesignated memorials will be given to St. Paul Lutheran's Roof Repair project. A special thank you to Rev. Ellis for the spiritual care he provided to Gerhard and our family. We deeply appreciate the visits St. Paul members made to Gerhard while he lived at Oakview Terrace.
