QUARTERLY VOTER
MEETING NOTICE:
Our Summer Voters meeting will be held on July 28 in the Fellowship all right
after the Worship Service. Please plan
to attend.
AN APOLOGETICS STUDY BEGINS IN SEPTEMBER. What is Apologetics you may ask? Apologetics comes from
the word apology, but the kind of apology as; “to defend”, such as Apology
of the Augsburg Confession (one our documents we subscribe to
adhere). Apologetics is how to defend the Faith in a Christian (Lutheran)
manner and perspective (worldview) when asked or challenged by another’s perspective.
Questions of this day and age, in science, theology, and everyday life.
Questions like; Is there a Hell? How do we know there is a God? Is the Creation
account true? What does God say about Marriage? What does God say about Gender
Identity? Do you have these questions? How would you answer someone
who asked you these questions? Available times will be Wednesday mornings
at 6:00am (Men’s Group), Wednesday Evenings at 6:30pm (anyone can attend, but
especially invited are the former Tuesday night study group and the 2019
Confirmation cohort), and/or Sunday after worship (if arrangements can be made
concerning vacancy coverage, or alternate teachers). More information
will be given in August and a sign-up sheet will be available to order materials.

JULY MISSION/MINISTRY OF THE MONTH JOINT SEMINARY FUND OR
ADOPT A STUDENT. We are blessed with LCMS pastors and leaders well-equipped for
ministry by our world-class seminaries. Every gift to LCMS Joint Seminary Fund
helps both of our world-class seminaries as they continue preparing future
messengers of God’s forgiveness. Donations to the Joint Seminary Fund restrict
the Synod to use them only for providing annual supplemental operating grants
for our seminaries. Monthly Joint Seminary Fund grants are over-and-above Synod
""subsidy"" (see Together As Synod). Each seminary may use
Joint Seminary funds to relieve whatever financial need or pressure is
greatest, similar to unrestricted subsidy. Each donation helps both LCMS
seminaries, and is an easy way to make a lasting difference. (Visit lcms.org/giving/transparency to access
audited reports on the Joint Seminary Fund.) Gifts from first-time contributors
will be matched dollar-for-dollar - up to a maximum of $50,000 - if received
before November 30, 2019.
In addition, each Seminary has Adopt a Student programs
to supplement non-tuition expenses.July Mission/Ministry of the month Joint Seminary Fund or Adopt a Student Please read the included insert and consider giving ( Gifts from first-time contributors will be matched dollar-for-dollar - up to a maximum of $50,000 - if received before November 30, 2019)
