THE CHRISTMAS TREE set up in the fellowship hall is again going to be used as a local mission project. We are asking the congregation for help by bringing any new winter type apparel and placing it on the Giving Tree before Dec. 23rd.
OFFERING ENVELOPES will be handed out before and after church services for the next couple of weeks. Please pick your envelope box up in fellowship hall.
THE LADIES AID: Christmas Party will be held today at 4:00 p.m. All ladies of the congregation and guests are welcome. Please bring a five dollar gift for exchange. All Ladies Aid members are asked to bring 2 dozen cookies or other goodies. Hope to see you there.
LWML will meet Thursday evening at 7:30 at Wyona’s apartment. Please bring along your dime socks.
LAST CALL--OPERATION OUTREACH is a ministry in association with Pastor Dave Gunderson of St. John Lutheran – Yankton. He is now serving in Afghanistan. Part of this ministry is collecting children’s shoes. These can be new or used. St. Paul’s LWML is using this as a Christmas project and would like to invite the congregation to participate. There will be a box in the fellowship hall until Wednesday, December 8th, for shoe contributions at which time we will send them on to Camp Phoenix in care of Pastor Gunderson for distributions. LWML will meet Wednesday evening after the Advent Service to pack shoes.
THE LADIES AID: will be doing their annual matching funds Christmas project. It will again be for Main Street Living. There will be a “free will offering basket” in the fellowship hall from November 28th through December 19th. Your continued generosity is greatly appreciated.
CHIRSTMAS CANTATA will be December 19th during church service. Therefore there will be no communion.

Midweek Advent Worship Services will be offered this year at St. Paul. At 7:00 p.m. on Dec. 1st, 8th and 15th we will gather together for Advent services with the theme “The Genealogy of Jesus” in which we will see how this often over-looked subject is anything but boring or tedious. The three topics will be:
Dec. 8 “Rahab: God Makes Heroes Out of Zeroes”
Dec. 15 “Joash: A Child With a Destiny”

December 12, 2010"Red Boots For Christmas", is the German folk tale of Hans, the shoemaker, as he learns that the true meaning of Christmas is found in giving.
The featured speaker is Rev. Samuel Bobby from Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Rapid City, SD. The sermon theme is "What Did You Expect?" The hymns are The Advent of Our King; Hark the Glad Sound; and On Jordon's Bank the Baptist's Cry. The Main Street Living choir will provide the hymns. The program is interpreted for the hearing impaired.
