in fellowship hall. Please see Bob Pidde.

DOROTHEA ALBRECHT’S ENTRANCE INTO GLORY. We pray for comfort for the family of Dorothea Albrecht whom God called to her eternal rest on Tuesday, Dec. 14th. We give thanks to our Lord for His loving-kindness and for all of the mercies granted to Dorothea during her earthly life, especially for calling her to faith in Jesus Christ through Holy Baptism. We pray that God would comfort all who mourn with the hope of the glorious resurrection of the body and a happy reunion in heaven, and that He would sustain the family with the knowledge that all who remain faithful will be given the crown of eternal life and will be in our Lord’s presence forevermore. Dorothea’s home-going service was held on Friday, Dec. 17th.

BABY IAN HENRY PAUTZ was born on Nov. 27th and weighed in at 9 lbs. 12 oz. Mother and son are doing well. Congratulations to Pastor and Mrs. Pautz on the birth of their son! We give thanks to God for blessing their lives with this marvelous gift and for entrusting this child to the care of his parents!

THE CHRISTMAS TREE set up in the fellowship hall is again going to be used as a local mission project. We are asking the congregation for help by bringing any new winter type apparel and placing it on the Giving Tree before Dec. 23rd.

OFFERING ENVELOPES will be handed out before and after church services for the next couple of weeks. Please pick your envelope box up in fellowship hall. All envelopes for "Special Services" such as Christmas, Lenten Offerings, Maundy Thursday, etc. are designated as a Mission contribution.

NO WEEKDAY SCHOOL OR CONFRIMATION on December 29th!

USHER LIST: Anyone willing to help out ushering for the upcoming
year, please sign up in fellowship hall. There is a sheet posted on the
bulletin board. We need more ushers!!

PLEASE LET US KNOW if you or another of our members is sick, hospitalized, has a new baby, has a death in the family, etc. This will enable us (pastor, elders and others) to visit them, send a note of encouragement and to keep the person and his or her family in our prayers.

MAIN STREET LIVING has been an integral part of our District’s ministry in South Dakota for the last 9 years but its future has become uncertain. The treasurer has advised the District that they do not have enough money to pay for any programming after Dec. 31st. They realize that everyone’s personal budget is tight and that some congregations are struggling as well. If it is within your means to do so, MSL is asking for whatever additional support you can provide – both financially as well as your prayers for their financial stability; even sending them $1 will help. It would truly be unfortunate for the programming to be discontinued. If you can assist them, you may either put your donation in the offering plate with a note attached designating the money for MSL, or you may send your donation directly to them at: Main Street Living, 1400 S Duluth Ave., Sioux Falls, SD 57105. Thank you in advance for your help!
December 26, 2010 Watch as the "Puzzle Club" kids solve the Christmas Mystery.
The featured speaker is Rev. Gary Jacobsen from Bethesda Lutheran Church in Hot Springs, SD. The sermon theme is "Freedom or Slavery?" The hymns are Angels We Have Heard on High; O Come All Ye Faithful; and Silent Night, Holy Night. The Main Street Living choir will provide the hymns. The program is interpreted for the hearing impaired.
