THE BAZAAR COMMITTEE has started making plans for the Nov. 1st event, which will run from 10:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.  Food donations are needed for chicken noodle soup, vegetable soup, chili soup, chicken sandwich meat, tavern, salads, pies, cake, pickles, crackers & coffee.  We will also need workers for the day and evening shifts.  We will again have the Country Store, Stitchery/Craft Booth and the Lunch Counter.  Please see or call Garnet Stern (925-7298), Corrine Handel (925-7433), Mildred Siekmann (925-7050), or Sharon Pfeiffer (925-7604) if you are willing to donate food or work.

THANK YOU, JOHN and ALETA STARNER, for your willingness to lead our Youth Group this year!  May God grant you both the wisdom and the patience to guide and shape our youth in the servanthood of our Christian faith.  The next Youth Group meeting will be on Oct. 14th at 7:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall.
THANK YOU, RUTH KOERNER, for accepting the telephone prayer chain responsibilities.  May God bless you as you do this work in and for His Kingdom.

POSITION OPEN – We are still looking for someone to take over the candle and vestment maintenance duties.  If you are interested, please contact the Pastor.

The Fall ADULT BIBLE STUDY CLASS begins today.  We will continue the topic of comparing belief systems and religions, more specifically today and the next couple of classes (because of Presidential Candidate Mitt Romney) comparing the Mormon religion with the Christian religion.  Bring your coffee and snacks to class and join us in our studies!  All materials are provided.  Everybody is welcome!

LUTHERAN DIGEST – The Fall copies of the Digest have arrived and are on revolving stand in the Library area.

MAIN STREET LIVING – Sept. 30 – Kid’s Crossing looks at the greatest commandment:  “Love God with all you heart and soul and mind.”  The speaker will be Rev. Seltz from the Lutheran Hour.  His sermon theme will be “I’d Stake My Life On It.”  The MSL Choir will provide the hymns.  MSL may be seen each Sunday morning at 10:00 on KDLT-NBC Sioux Falls and at 9:00 on KEVN-FOX Rapid City.

THE LUTHERAN HOUR Sept. 30 – “Jesus, I Don’t Love You” will be the sermon theme of Rev. Dr. Ken Klaus.  Jesus said those who are not against Him are for Him but the opposite is also true: those who are not for Jesus are against Him.  The Lutheran Hour is broadcast on Sunday mornings at 8:30 on 105.9 FM and at 9:30 on 570 AM.
