IN OUR DAILY PRAYERS this week please offer a prayer to God in thanksgiving that Brogen Broders (2-year-old son of Tom and Kelli Broders) has returned home from the hospital safely and is doing well in his recovery after having had 3 heart surgeries. Please also remember Sharon Buechler as she continues to recover from her flare-up of shingles as well as our shut-in and inactive members, and at least two people in your life who do not yet know Christ.
THE BAZAAR COMMITTEE has started making plans for the November 1st event which will run from 10:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Food donations are needed for chicken noodle soup, vegetable soup, chili soup, chicken sandwich meat, taverns, salads, pies, cakes, pickles, crackers and coffee. We will also need workers for the day and evening shifts. We will again have the Country Store, Stitchery/Craft Booth and the Lunch Counter. A BIBLE will be presented today to our 3rd grade student: Sarah Harris. May she learn and cherish the Word of God and keep it in her heart forever.
MEN’S BIBLE STUDY GROUP will meet this week at the Third Street Grill at 6:00 a.m.
INSTALLATION OF TEACHERS – Our Sunday School and Midweek School teachers being installed today are Kristi Dannenbring and Joni Knittel (Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten), Amber Sayler and Stefanie Ruml (1st and 2nd grades), Penny Smidt (3rd thru 5th grades), Bob Pidde, Cheri Knittel and Leann Schulz-Thomas (6th thru 8th grades) and Rev. Richard Weeman (Midweek School). We thank God for providing these teachers who are willing to spend time with our youth to teach them the truths of the Gospel.
CHOIR will be starting on Sept. 16th from 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
CONFIRMATION CLASSES will begin on Wed., Sept. 12th at 4:00.
CONFIRMATION YOUTH & PARENT MEETING – There will be a meeting for our confirmands and their parents in the Fellowship Hall today after the Rally Day luncheon.
MIDWEEK SCHOOL YOUTH & PARENT MEETING – There will be a beginning-of-school-year meeting for our midweek school youth and their parents in the sanctuary today after the Rally Day luncheon. Please plan to attend if at all possible!
MIDWEEK SCHOOL for our 5th and 6th graders will begin on Wed.,

RALLY DAY PICNIC – The congregation is invited to a potluck today after church to celebrate the opening of Sunday School. Hot dogs, brats and drinks will be provided. Please bring a salad, side dish or dessert. Please join us! Sunday School classes begin next Sunday.
TRISHA LANGLE and the other SDSU pre-med students arrived safely back home from Mombasa, Kenya. Thank you, Lord! They truly had an eye-opening experience on how the hospitals and orphanages are operated on a day-to-day basis. Thank you for your prayers for their safety while they were gone. Trisha asks that you continue to pray for the people of Mombasa.
LWML – The LWML ladies will meet on Sept. 13th at 7:00 p.m. Alice has topic and Julie has lunch.

CHRISTIAN LIFE FALL WORKSHOP will be held in Sioux Falls on Saturday, Sept. 22nd. Rev. Randy Sturzenbecher will present the “Blessings of Holy Communion.” More information on bulletin board.
MAIN STREET LIVING – Sept. 16 – Kid’s Crossing looks at standing firm in the faith as Danny learns about Jesus from his grandmother. The speaker will be Rev. Steven Weispfenig of St. John Lutheran Church in Yankton. The Main Street Living Choir will provide the hymns. MSL may be seen each Sunday morning at 10:00 on KDLT-NBC Sioux Falls and at 9:00 on KEVN-FOX Rapid City.
THE LUTHERAN HOUR – Sept. 16 – “Relationships” will be the theme of Rev. Gregory Seltz’ sermon. The Lutheran Hour is broadcast on Sunday mornings at 8:30 on 105.9 FM and at 9:30 on 570 AM.
