12/09/2012 Announcements

IN OUR DAILY PRAYERS this week we remember Matt Dannenbring and all others who are sick, recovering or in cancer treatment, our shut-in and inactive members, and at least 2 people who do not yet know Christ.

MIDWEEK ADVENT SERVICES – We will gather at 7:00 p.m. on Dec. 12th and Dec. 19th for worship for our remaining two midweek services.  At 5:45 p.m. (before each Wednesday’s service) we will also provide a soup and sandwich supper for all who wish to get together for a light meal.  This week’s soup and sandwich supper will be provided and hosted by the Ken Roth, Craig Roth and Mark Roth families.  The theme for this year’s Advent season is the 7 Churches of Revelation.  Please plan to join us and please bring a friend or relative to share in this opportunity for worship and fellowship!

THE LORD’S SUPPER at St. Paul Lutheran Church is administered in accordance with the Holy Scriptures and the Lutheran Confessions.  It is celebrated in the confidence that we receive – in, with and under the consecrated bread and wine – our Savior’s true Body and Blood for the forgiveness of our sins.  All who commune at this altar are making this public confession of the faith that we believe and teach as is written in the Holy Scriptures.  If you are not a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and yet desire to receive the Sacrament, please speak with the Pastor before the worship service.

ST PAUL LUTHERAN CHURCH CHRISTMAS CARE TREE – You may have noticed a Christmas tree in the Fellowship Hall.  We are wishing to bless those in need to keep warm this Christmas season.  As a mission of giving, we are hoping to collect hats, mittens, socks and small fleece blankets or other items that you feel are appropriate.  We don’t want to put an age limit on this project as there are not only children but elderly who are in need.  We will collect items through Dec 16th and hope to distribute the items before Christmas.  God bless the children and congregational members who wish to participate.  Thank You!  The Board of Ed

LWML will meet at Julie Huber’s on Dec. 13th at 2:00 p.m.  Please remember to bring your Christmas stocking offerings, mites and a local offering.  Also bring Christmas goodies to eat and a Christmas reading.

MAIN STREET LIVING – If you would like to donate to Main Street Living there will be a basket in the Fellowship Hall for the next few Sundays.  Funds received will be matched by the Ladies Aid.

MAIN STREET LIVING may be seen on Sunday mornings at 10:00 on KDLT-NBC.

THE LUTHERAN HOUR is broadcast on Sunday mornings at 8:30 on 105.9 FM and at 9:30 on 570 AM.
