12/23/2012 Announcements

IN OUR DAILY PRAYERS this week we continue to remember all of the families (both in our midst and nationwide) who are in mourning over the loss of their loved ones as well as all other people who sick or in cancer treatment, our shut-in and inactive members, and at least 2 people who do not yet know Christ.

A SPECIAL THANK YOU to the Samaritan Ladies for their time and effort last Wednesday to provide our soup and sandwich supper!  They did an excellent job as did the Andersen family and the Lutherans For Life before our 1st midweek service and the Roth families who hosted the supper before our 2nd midweek worship service.  Thank you all very much – we sincerely appreciate your work!

LADIES AID will meet on January 3rd at 7:00 p.m. for Bible Study and business meeting.  The hostess will be Marie Wrenn.  Visiting Helpers are Ruth Koerner and Garnet Stern.  Coffee Hour committee for January 6th is Garnet Stern, Staci Stern and Susan Borglum.

Christmas Worship Services – We invite you to join us as we celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of Man and Son of God!  Our Christmas Eve Children’s Program will be held on Dec. 24th at 7:00 p.m.  Please mark your calendars and come worship with us as our youth present the Christmas story.  Our Christmas Day service will be Dec. 25th at 9:30 a.m.  Both services will be filled with your favorite Christmas hymns so bring a friend with you!

NO MIDWEEK SCHOOL or CONFIRMATION CLASSES on the last 2 Wednesdays of December.  Christmas Break will be 2 weeks long so both classes will resume January 2nd!

We want to send A BIG THANK YOU to all God’s “angels” here on earth that contributed to our Christmas Mission Tree.  Your generosity was amazing and heaven-sent for those in need.  We collected 2 coats, 4 scarves, 23 blankets, 38 undergarments, 47 hats, 63 pairs of gloves and 103 pairs of socks.  Thank you so much for your participation and as well as for sharing the spirit of giving.  May God bless your Christmas!  (s) The Board of Ed

THANK YOU Denise Peterson and Steve Smidt for helping out with the youth lock-in.  They had a fun time and it could not have happened without your help.  (s) Aleta Starner
