07/21/2013 Announcements

IN OUR DAILY PRAYERS this week please remember those who are hospitalized, Mary Jenkins and Orville Huber as they each recover from having a stroke, Emily Hofer as she recovers at home from back surgery, those in cancer treatment programs, our shut-in and inactive members, and at least 2 family members or friends in your life who do not yet know Christ.

MAIN STREET LIVING – July 21st – Kid’s Crossing has Janitor Bob and Lisa comparing the good Samaritan story to the modern trend of random acts of kindness.  The featured speaker is Rev. Bill Sabol from Trinity Lutheran Church in Jasper, MN.  His sermon theme is “One Thing Needful.”  The program is interpreted for the hearing impaired.

THE LORD’S SUPPER at St. Paul Lutheran Church is administered in accordance with the Holy Scriptures and the Lutheran Confessions.  It is celebrated in the confidence that we receive – in, with and under the consecrated bread and wine – our Savior’s true Body and Blood for the forgiveness of our sins.  All who commune at this altar are making this public confession of the faith that we believe and teach as is written in the Holy Scriptures.  If you are not a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and yet desire to receive the Sacrament, please speak with the Pastor before the worship service.

THE TIME HAS COME FOR GOD BACKYARD VBS:  VBS starts tomorrow so if your child is attending and you have not registered yet, please do so today.  Registration forms are on the bulletin board in the fellowship hall. You can give them to Cheri Knittel, Amber Sayler or Maria White.  We want to send a BIG Thank You to all the help by donating supplies and are will to serve during this coming week.  The Board of Ed will be preparing the church this afternoon at 1 p.m.  If there is any that wish to help, but are not able to during the week, we are always grateful for additional help in decorating and getting tables and such arranged.  Thank you the Board of Ed.

SUMMER SUNDAY SCHOOL video will be shown July 28, following the church service for those that would like to, mark your calendars.

LADIES AID will not meet in August.  Lee Lagendyk is on Altar Guild for August and Visiting Helper is Alice Fliginger.  Coffee Hour committee for August 4th is Ella and Elsie Hein, Cindy Hofer and Phyllis Knittel.
