IN YOUR DAILY PRAYERS this week please remember those in cancer treatment programs as well as our shut-in and inactive members, and at least 2 family members or friends in your life who do not yet know Christ.
PLEASE REMEMBER that the back pews on each side of the church are reserved for families with small children (as noted on the signs). If you do not have small children, please courteously move forward so that our families who do have children can sit where it will be easier to take care of them.
THE LORD’S SUPPER at St. Paul Lutheran Church is administered in accordance with the Holy Scriptures and the Lutheran Confessions. It is celebrated in the confidence that we receive – in, with and under the consecrated bread and wine – our Savior’s true Body and Blood for the forgiveness of our sins. All who commune at this altar are making this public confession of the faith that we believe and teach as is written in the Holy Scriptures. If you are not a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and yet desire to receive the Sacrament, please speak with the Pastor before the worship service.
MAIN STREET LIVING – Feb. 9th – Kid’s Crossing looks at Matthew 5:16 where Jesus said, “Let your light shine before others.” The featured speaker will be Rev. Albert Sutton of Evergreen Lutheran Mission in Porcupine, SD. His sermon theme will be “Christ Fulfills the Law in Our Place.” The program is interpreted for the hearing impaired.
PASTOR WILL BE ON VACATION next weekend. Rev. Ken Greinke will lead next week’s worship service. However, for the week of Feb. 15 thru 21 when Pastor will be gone, Rev. David Ellis [760-7836] from Menno will be on call in case of emergency. You may also contact any of our elders for assistance.

RECIPE CORRECTIONS: We would like to make one final request for corrections to mistakes or misprints that need to be made to any recipe that was printed in the church cookbook. As a reminder please write the correction to any error that affects the outcome of the recipe itself into the notebook on top of the microwave in the kitchen. Please do not assume that someone else has already made the correction. A small
list of corrections will be posted and copies available for the cookbooks.

THE SD GIDEONS wish to thank St. Paul Lutheran Church for inviting them to give their presentation after last week’s worship service. They enjoyed worshipping with us, talking with those whom they knew and meeting those whom they didn’t know! The freewill offering collected for Gideon International was $300.00. Thank you to all who donated. Lives will be changed and more copies of the Bible can be distributed because of those donations.
DELMAR LIPELT ESTATE – Just a note to clear up any uncertainties with regard to the Estate of Delmar Lipelt of which SPLC is a beneficiary … Gary Pfeiffer was correct (as expected and as we are used to!!) in his presentation to last week’s voters assembly. To briefly reiterate and expand on Gary’s comments – Delmar Ray Lipelt, who was a single man with no children, died on July 5, 2013. He had previously created a living trust. Upon his death, the Delmar Lipelt Living Trust became irrevocable and Duane Lipelt (Delmar’s brother) is now the successor trustee. Selected beneficiaries have decided to legally challenge the trust’s distribution provisions and have asked to court to modify the trust document accordingly. A hearing on this matter has been scheduled for Feb. 11, 2014. Regardless of the hearing’s outcome and who gets how much, before any distributions can be made Delmar’s estate has to be probated which is expected to take about 6 months.
