Main Street Living – Sept. 28th
– The featured speaker is Rev. Jordan Andreasen of St. John Lutheran Church
in Wagner and Trinity Lutheran Church in Fairfax. His sermon theme will be “The Christian Mind.” The program is interpreted for the hearing
impaired.
reformation worship service choir – You are invited to join the choir
that will sing for the circuit Reformation festival service in Freeman on Nov.
2nd. There will be rehearsals
on Sundays, Oct. 19th and 26th from 3:00 until 4:30 at St.
Paul in Freeman. Please let me know as
soon as possible, but no later than Oct. 10th, if you are willing to

REFORMATION
WORSHIP SERVICE – We
will be hosting this year’s annual Reformation worship service for our circuit
of 12 churches. The service will be on
Nov. 2nd with a songfest beginning at 10:30 and the worship service
beginning at 11:00 so as to allow the members of the other circuit churches to
attend. Following the service, we will
offer a noon meal in our Fellowship Hall.
The cost will be $6.00; lunch tickets may be purchased from the
Pastor. At 2:00 Rev. Dr. Paul Maier (a professor
of Ancient History at Western Michigan Univ. and a prolific author) will begin
his presentation on “Martin Luther and
the Reformation.” Additional
information has been posted on the bulletin board.
WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON snacks –
There is a Fall Semester sign-up sheet on the bulletin board for those who wish
to donate snacks for our Confirmation Class students. If you are planning to provide snacks, please
choose your preferred dates early so that we have time to cover the remaining
open dates. Thanks!
LADIES AID will meet on October 2nd at 7:00
p.m. with Joan Dreessen as Hostess. Bible Study will be Session 7 – The
Lost Sheep and The Lost Coin followed by the Business Meeting. On Altar
Guild for October is Julianne Huber and Visiting Helpers are Garnet Stern and
Lee Lagendyk.
THE BAZAAR COMMITTEE - has started making
plans for the November 6th event, which will run from 10:30 a.m. to
7:00 p.m. Food donations are needed for chicken noodle soup, vegetable soup,
chili soup, chicken sandwich meat, tavern, salads, pies, cake, pickles,
crackers & coffee. We will also need workers for the day and evening
shifts. We will again have the Country Store, Stitchery/Craft Booth and the
Lunch Counter. Please see or call Corrine Handel (925-7433), Darlene Schrag
(925-7767), Mildred Siekmann (925-7050), or Sharon Pfeiffer (925-7604), if you
are willing to donate food or work.
