05-06-2018 Announcements

WE ARE GLAD YOU ARE WITH US TODAY

IN YOUR PRAYERS - this week please remember those who are recovering from surgery and illness, those in cancer treatment programs, our shut-in and inactive members and at least 2 family members or friends in your life who do not know Christ as they could, that they would accept the invitation to come to Church with you to hear God's Word preached in its purity, and see the Sacraments rightly administered.

MAIN STREET LIVING –May 13th 10:30 AM-Worship Service-Today’s message is presented by Rev. Jason Letsche, Associate Pastor at Blessed Redeemer Lutheran Church in Brandon, SD.  The message is based on John 17:11-19 and is titled “No Reduction in Force”.

PRINTED SERVICES AVAILABLE.  For those who have difficulty handling or maneuvering the hymnal, or for those who just plain want to use them, we are currently printing some services out and putting them in the bulletin.  So, if you find it difficult to heft the hymnal, or find it difficult because you only can use one hand, or are new to our services and don't know where to turn next (visitor?), you may ask the usher for one of these printed services, where the entire service is printed and laid out in order.

SENIOR SUNDAY - Today we will be celebrating our High School Seniors by including them in prayer and recognizing their achievement.  Please remember Tracy Andersen, Bryce Dannenbring, Charles Harberts and Lindsay Thomas in your prayers as they graduate and prepare to follow God’s planned path after High School.

TRINITY OF HARTFORD is hosting an Alzheimer’s disease seminar today from 1 to 3 in the afternoon.  We will have a wide variety of information on the subject, and our guest speaker will be Pastor Max Phillips.  See bulletin board for more information.  This event is open to the community.

This Wednesday, at 9:00am, the LADIES BIBLE STUDY will meet at the church.  Currently, we are covering the Bible in general and will be picking out a book of the Bible or a book study.  All Ladies are invited.

REMINDER: THE MEN'S BIBLE study meets at 6:00am at the church on Wednesday morning.  Currently we are studying the liturgy, and have plans on studying a book called "Man Up" next.  All men are invited.

HOSPITAL AUXILIARY FUND DRIVE - It is a privilege to have the Freeman Regional Health Services in our community.  The Hospital Auxiliary is having their annual fund drive during the month of May and are asking for donations that will help to purchase needed equipment for the hospital, nursing home, and clinic. There is a free will basket in the fellowship hall at coffee hour during the month of May.  Your participation in this fund drive will be greatly appreciated.
