05-17-2015 Announcements

IN OUR DAILY PRAYERS this week we remember the families in Delmont and in other areas of the country who have suffered injuries and loss from last week’s tornados as well as those who are recovering from surgery and illness, those in cancer treatment programs, our shut-in and inactive members, and at least 2 family members or friends in your life who do not yet know Christ.

THE LORD’S SUPPER at St. Paul Lutheran Church is administered in accordance with the Holy Scriptures and the Lutheran Confessions.  It is celebrated in the confidence that we receive – in, with and under the consecrated bread and wine – our Savior’s true Body and Blood for the forgiveness of our sins.  All who commune at this altar are making this public confession of the faith that we believe and teach as is written in the Holy Scriptures.  If you are not a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and yet desire to receive the Sacrament, please speak with the Pastor before the worship service.

Delmont Relief Fund – The church building and parsonage of Zion Lutheran Church in Delmont were destroyed by a tornado on Sunday, May 10th.  In addition, the homes of 5 of Zion’s families were either destroyed or damaged by the storm.  Miraculously, no lives were lost.  Rather than sending donations directly to Zion, a fund has been established at The South Dakota District Office to receive donations to assist with relief efforts.  Donations should be sent to:
The South Dakota District, LCMS
P.O. Box 89110, Sioux Falls, SD 57109-9110
Checks should be made payable to:  The South Dakota District LCMS and earmarked:  “Delmont Relief Fund.”  Thank you for your assistance.

SUNDAE SUNDAY:   On Sunday, May 24th we will be celebrating the end of our Sunday School year with Ice Cream Sundaes.  Come enjoy some ice cream and fellowship.

HOSPITAL AUXILIARY FUND DRIVE:  It is a privilege to have the Freeman Regional Health Services in our community. We are having our annual fund drive during the month of May and are asking for donations that will help to purchase needed equipment for the hospital, nursing home, and clinic. We will have a free will basket in the fellowship hall during coffee hour TODAY May 17th and also on the 24th. Your participation in this fund drive will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
