1-11-2015 Announcements

IN YOUR DAILY PRAYERS this week please remember the family of John Holzwarth as they mourn his death and celebrate his eternal life with Christ as well as those who are recovering from surgery and illness, those in cancer treatment programs, our shut-in and inactive members, and at least 2 family members or friends in your life who do not yet know Christ.

THE LORD’S SUPPER at St. Paul Lutheran Church is administered in accordance with the Holy Scriptures and the Lutheran Confessions.  It is celebrated in the confidence that we receive – in, with and under the consecrated bread and wine – our Savior’s true Body and Blood for the forgiveness of our sins.  All who commune at this altar are making this public confession of the faith that we believe and teach as is written in the Holy Scriptures.  If you are not a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and yet desire to receive the Sacrament, please speak with the Pastor before the worship service

Main Street Living – Jan. 11th – The featured speaker is Rev. Garen Pay of Peace Lutheran Church in Alcester, SD.  The program is interpreted for the hearing impaired.

CALENDAR CHANGE – Please note the revised date:  the Council will meet on Jan. 14th at 7:00.

MENTOR/MENTEE GROUP- will meet Sunday, January 18th at 7 PM at the church.  Please plan on attending!

ANNUAL VOTERS’ MEETING NOTICE – Our annual voters’ meeting will be held January 25th in the Fellowship Hall right after the worship service.

PLEASE PRAYERFULLY CONSIDER using your God-given gifts and talents in service to our Lord and His church.  In January we will need to fill various offices and positions.  Please contact the Chairman of the Congregation (Matt Dannenbring) or any elder if you are willing to have your name placed on the 2015 election ballot.  Thanks!

RING OUT THE OLD AND BRING IN THE NEW:   The Samaritans and Mentor/Mentees are planning on celebrating the New Year with a Soup/Supper game night.  There will be fun interaction for young and 'not so young  but young at heart' members of St Paul Lutheran. Please feel free to bring neighbors, relatives and friends. The event will be on January 25th from 4-6 pm in the fellowship hall. In preparation we would like to know approximately how many individuals will be attending.  Please contact Cheri Knittel at 925-7899 or cell number 605-770-3996 before January 18th.

WELLSPRING CARE CENTER – Our church is a member of the Wellspring Wholistic Care Center which offers counseling to the people of this area.  If you wish to become a delegate to represent our church, to attend their meetings and report back to us, to help with educational seminars, etc., please contact the pastor before the end of January so that your name can be submitted by the deadline.  Thanks.
