MISSION FUNDRAISING LUNCHEON – Today, after Bible study and Sunday School classes, I will be hosting a baked potato feed to help fund a mission trip to Akiachak, Alaska.  On June 20th, I will be traveling with a team of 12 others from Seward, NE to serve for one week in sharing the message of Jesus Christ to the Village of Akiachak.  We will do this through a Bible camp and a basketball camp.  This is the 6th year for the team to travel to Akiachak and it is my second time on the team.  It would be wonderful if you all could attend!  For more information, please look at the poster hung on the bulletin board.  Thanks for your support, Carly Fritz!

THE SOUTH DAKOTA GIDEONS have a short presentation for us after today’s worship service.  They will discuss the Gideons’ mission to distribute the Bible around the world and what we can do to help them.  We give praise and thanks to our God that so many people have been given access to the Bible because of the Gideons.  Some miscellaneous facts:
There are more than 300,000 Gideons and Auxiliary members
In the last 10 years they distributed over 750 million copies of the Bible.
In 2014 more than 81 million copies of the Bible were distributed.
About 1.9 billion Bibles have been distributed worldwide since 1908.
More than 2 copies of God’s Word are distributed every second.
Over 1 million Bibles are distributed every 4 days.
A freewill offering for the Gideons’ work will also be accepted after today’s service.
