2-08-2015 Announcements

IN OUR DAILY PRAYERS this week we remember Joan Dreessen who will be having cancer surgery tomorrow, Judy Schrag who is recovering from knee surgery, Pauline Walz who is recovering in Oakview from various ailments and all others who are recovering from surgery and illness, those in cancer treatment programs, our shut-in and inactive members, and at least 2 family members or friends in your life who do not yet know Christ.

THE LORD’S SUPPER at St. Paul Lutheran Church is administered in accordance with the Holy Scriptures and the Lutheran Confessions.  It is celebrated in the confidence that we receive – in, with and under the consecrated bread and wine – our Savior’s true Body and Blood for the forgiveness of our sins.  All who commune at this altar are making this public confession of the faith that we believe and teach as is written in the Holy Scriptures.  If you are not a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and yet desire to receive the Sacrament, please speak with the Pastor before the worship service.

Main Street Living – Feb. 8th – The featured speaker is Rev. Kory Janneke of Faith Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls.  The program is interpreted for the hearing impaired.

OUR 2015 CHURCH OFFICERS being installed today are Leann Schulz-Thomas (Treasurer), Kelli Broders (Board of Education), Keith Knodel (Board of Elders), Mark Roth (Board of Evangelism), LaNae Harberts (Board of Finance), Dan Podzimek (Board of Trustees) and Harvey Dannenbring (Board of Ushers).  We thank God for raising up these servants to work in His kingdom and pray that He will give them the wisdom, strength and courage to fulfill the duties of their respective offices.
MISSION FUNDRAISING LUNCHEON – Today, after Bible study and Sunday School classes, I will be hosting a baked potato feed to help fund a mission trip to Akiachak, Alaska.  On June 20th, I will be traveling with a team of 12 others from Seward, NE to serve for one week in sharing the message of Jesus Christ to the Village of Akiachak.  We will do this through a Bible camp and a basketball camp.  This is the 6th year for the team to travel to Akiachak and it is my second time on the team.  It would be wonderful if you all could attend!  For more information, please look at the poster hung on the bulletin board.  Thanks for your support, Carly Fritz!
