07-10-2011 Announcements

IN OUR DAILY PRAYERS this week we pray for all who are ill, hospitalized or recovering, including Doris Albrecht who fell last week and was injured, Bernice Graber who also fell and broke her arm, Richard Salis as he continues his cancer treatments, Harry Cokens’ sister (Stephanie) who was just diagnosed with cancer, Lonnie Graber who had elbow surgery last week and the family of Baby Meridith Ulmer who, at 4 months of age, was called home on June 30th to be with her Lord. We also pray for our shut-in members, our inactive members and at least two people in our lives who don’t know Christ.

COMMUNION DISTRIBUTION procedures, on a trial basis like last month, will change slightly this week. In consideration of those who have difficulty walking up and down the steps to the altar we will distribute the Communion elements at the front of the sanctuary. You may come forward when directed to do so by the ushers, forming a single line down the center aisle. Both the common cup and individual cups will still be available. After receiving the Lord’s Supper, please return to your pew via the side aisle on your side of the sanctuary. We will commune one side of the sanctuary at a time. There will be one blessing and dismissal at the end after everyone has communed. We respect and welcome your opinion during this trial period and ask that you would please respect the viewpoint of others as well. If you have not already done so, please give your comments on this trial procedure to any elder (Gary Pfeiffer, Scott Stern and Paul Wynia). Thank you.
